Sagye Sanghoe

사계상회 Sagye means the four seasons and sanghoe an old-style trading store; the posts say the main dish changes with the season — raw and salt-grilled live shrimp in September.

Compiled from 7 blog posts read in fullSources →

A seasonal seafood pub on the ground floor right beside the Millak Waterside Park public car park in Gwangalli, Busan. In September 2026 it served live whiteleg shrimp from the tank, salt-grilled (small 35,000 won) or raw, plus a tuna-urchin-shrimp board eaten in laver (Sagye Byeolmi, 69,000 won) and a spicy crab stew with hand-torn noodles (35,000 won). Pairs mostly ordered the half-grilled, half-raw set at 49,000 won. We read 7 posts from 7 September to 7 October 2026, the shop's first month, and all seven describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The shrimp go live into a salt-lined pot and cook at your table. Three posts say the owner cut off the heads or helped with the shelling. The heads then go into a small butter pan, which one post says you work yourself; two posts leave unclear how much is done for you.
  2. Four posts mention outdoor tables in front of the shop; one counted about four of them and was told the staff will put up a parasol if it rains. The bridge view is disputed: one post says Gwangan Bridge fills the view, another that buildings partly block it, a third that it is visible in the distance.
  3. Four posts describe both a long wooden bar counter suited to solo drinkers and four-person tables inside. Two mention large windows onto the street, and one liked that the heavy chairs do not tip back.
  4. Four posts call the crab stew generous: two counted five crabs, one counted six, and a party of three said two people could not have finished it. Four posts also describe the broth as spicy.

  1. Two posts say chicken-leg-shaped crackers and cucumber come free with the table, and two say the shrimp were netted from the tank right after ordering.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 7 posts read)

Only one post states the floor from experience: it is at ground level, right next to the car park.

No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means we don't know, not that there is a barrier.

No post mentions where the toilet is or whether it is split by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Three posts copy the same hours, 11:30 to midnight with last orders at 23:00, but the closing day changed. A post from 8 September 2026 says open daily, and another ate there on a Monday afternoon on 7 September; posts from 2 and 7 October list Mondays as the regular day off. Mondays now appear to be closed, though all three posts copied the shop's listing.
  • No post describes getting there by subway or bus; the two that describe the approach both drove.
  • Only one post mentions waiting, saying there was no queue and it was quiet. All posts come from the first month, so we don't know what busy nights look like.
  • Two posts put solo drinking in their titles, but none of the writers went alone: one went as a couple, one as a group of three, and the rest don't say.
  • Dish prices are recorded, but no post gives a total bill for a meal with drinks, and none calls the place cheap or expensive.
  • Three posts give the same phone number, 0507-1344-1136, but none says whether you can book.
  • Three of the seven posts say the writer paid (two with receipt verification); four say nothing about who paid, and two of those read like structured promotional copy.
