Caffeine Charger is an espresso bar and café on the second floor of 237 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro, right across from Gwangalli Beach. People come for coffee and dessert in front of a wall of windows facing Gwangan Bridge; you order at the counter and it is brought to your table. The most-ordered items were the nutty latte (12 posts) and americano (11); posts list americano at 5,500 won, the nutty latte at 6,500 and vanilla latte at 7,000. We read 28 posts from October 2024 to October 2026: 26 actual visits, 1 passing mention and 1 unrelated post.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. 16 posts wrote about the window seats. The glass front is a folding door that opens fully in good weather, and posts from December 2024 and June 2026 found it open. It is seasonal: one winter visitor's coffee went cold at the window and they advise sitting inside in winter, another found the window side hot in midsummer, and one rainy-day post says rain blew in and the window seats sat empty.
  2. No post called the seats comfortable. Nine said they were uncomfortable, and one only said they had put off visiting because the seats looked uncomfortable. Floors, seats and tables are stone, some with cushions; posts mention having no backrest and the stone being cold to sit on. Several framed it as a place to stop for the view rather than settle in.
  3. One post says everyone must order a drink. The same post was told that someone who had already ordered coffee could add only the Napoli, not a plain espresso. No other post mentions these rules.
  4. Six posts say it sells beer and six say it sells wine; one saw other customers ordering Kirin draft, but none of the posts we read ordered alcohol themselves. One post noticed a Chinese-language menu and a fair number of Chinese tourists.

Getting inside

Second floor8 of 25 posts
Lift to the floor2 of 25 posts
Toilet inside3 of 25 posts

Eight posts say outright that it is upstairs on the second floor. Several note the ground floor holds other shops (a noodle place, a jokbal restaurant), so the sign is easy to miss; one says to look for a beige 'Caffeine Charger' sign. Two posts say they took the elevator up.

No post describes a basement level; eight say it is on the second floor.

Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; that means unknown, not inaccessible. Two posts mention an elevator, but one describes climbing some stairs first and then taking the elevator, so there may be steps before it.

Three posts say the restroom is inside the café and clean. Separate men's and women's restrooms appear only in copied info blocks, so we did not count that.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 26 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Portions split three to two: three posts found them generous (a shake big enough for three, a tall decaf, a French toast bigger than a hand) and two found the nutty latte small. The difference seems to follow the item.
  • Two posts found it quiet (easy conversation on a weekend afternoon; an empty weekend afternoon) and one found the music a bit loud. Several others found it crowded, so it likely depends on when you go.
  • One post called the room spacious and two said it was not large. One notes there are seats further in, but the view is blocked there so people crowd the window side.
  • Several posts give directions from Gwangan Station exit 3 (691-763 m, 12-15 minutes on foot), but these are mostly copied; nobody described actually walking from the station, and nobody mentioned buses.
  • No post describes queuing or gives a wait time, and one calls it a no-wait café. Others, though, could not get a window seat because of the crowd or found few seats and many people, and one expects no seats on drone-show nights.
  • 21 posts list opening hours: 20 say 11:00-22:00 daily, with last order at 21:30 (15 posts). One September 2025 post says 23:00. Most of this is copied from the listing.
  • We know prices for only a few items: americano 5,500 won and nutty latte 6,500 (summer 2024, April 2025), vanilla and strawberry lattes 7,000, financier 5,000, affogato 7,000. French toast is 9,000 in an April 2025 list and 10,000 in an October 2026 visit, which may be a price rise, but the earlier figure comes from a copied list. One post called it pricey. One got a free americano for writing a review, and another noted the review event.
  • Seven posts list the phone number 0507-1483-2773, but nobody called or booked. One post's info list says reservations are not taken, which is copied information.
