Daichi
다이치 Daichi is Japanese for 'the first, the finest'; posts relay the house's own gloss of the name as 'the best' (제일의, 가장 뛰어난).

Daichi is a Hokkaido-style lamb grill in a Millak-dong side street at the north end of Gwangalli beach in Busan, opposite the Millak-dong community centre. Staff grill the vegetables and lamb on cast-iron braziers in front of the counter and move each piece onto a small warmer at your place. The signature is the Komamura set: raw lamb loin, lamb rib, fried bean sprouts, a lamb hamburg steak, Inaniwa udon and matcha ice cream. Posts up to April 2026 put it at 45,000 won a head; posts from June on say 49,000. One August 2026 post gives à la carte prices of 18,000 won for loin and 19,000 for rib or French rack, and two posts say à la carte orders start at three portions. We read 19 posts dated 30 January to 29 September 2026. One of them was about a same-name oden bar in Mangwon, Seoul, so we set it aside. The other 18 are all first-hand visits, five of them for an anniversary or a date.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You don't grill your own meat. Seventeen of the 18 posts say a staff member cooked everything from start to finish. They oil the iron, lay on onion and leek, then cook the loin and then the rib, and hand back the rib bone with a paper handle. A solo diner was told the cook would pace the meat to her slow eating.
- Inside the door there is a waiting bench and coat lockers. Nine posts mention the lockers and nine mention the waiting area. Diners use the lockers so coats and bags don't pick up the smell of lamb. Some posts also mention fabric spray, floss and lap blankets, and one says the lockers fit a long padded coat.
- Twelve posts booked ahead, mostly through CatchTable, and found sauces and side dishes already laid out when they arrived. Two posts mention waiting. One arrived early for a booking and waited about ten minutes. The other saw a weekday evening fill up with reservations and says walk-ins had to queue.
- Seating is mostly at the counter, but six posts say there is separate seating further in: a six-seat table in one, four-seat tables in two, and a room or group space in three. Counting a couple who were shown to a private room, four posts mention a room. One post differs, saying the whole place is counter seating and awkward for groups of four or more.
2 more
- Seven posts say there was no gamey smell. Four say there was some: faint but not unpleasant, noticeable once the meat cooled, or present in the hamburg steak. Several writers who had avoided lamb say they managed it fine.
- Many posts repeat that corkage is free for one bottle. Three posts actually brought their own: a Kavalan whisky, a bottle of wine, and a Burgundy red.

Parking
2 posts say you can park; 1 say you cannot. We leave the disagreement standing rather than picking a side.

Many posts repeat that there are spaces marked 'private property' across from the door. The four who actually parked tell different stories. One counted room for about three cars, and one found them full at the weekend and used a public lot. Another couldn't find the spaces and the area was full anyway, and the fourth says there is no car park and parked across the road. The one-hour parking subsidy at nearby lots is copied from the listing.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 1 of 18 posts |
|---|
No post describes the floor or any steps from experience. There is only the '1st floor' in the address and one remark that the building is a converted house.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or pushchair gets in. That means we don't know, not that it's impossible. One family ate at the counter with a five-year-old.
One post mentions in passing that the toilet is inside, next to the separate room. Nobody says whether it is split by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- The price has gone up. Posts from January to April 2026 give the Komamura set at 45,000 won, posts from June to September at 49,000. One early-February post already says 49,000, so we can't pin down when it rose. One group of seven paid somewhere in the mid-to-high 100,000s of won. No post calls it expensive, and eight say it's good value for the price.
- Fifteen posts give the hours as daily 12:00–24:00 with last orders at 23:00, mostly copied from the listing. Lunch only happens if someone has booked. Two posts say that without a booking it opens at 15:00, and one writer turned up unbooked at noon and found it closed. Only one post mentions closing days, saying it is open all year.
- The line about being close to the No. 83 bus terminus is the shop's own directions, copied into posts. No post says the writer actually came by bus or subway.
- Five posts went up on the same day, 30 January 2026, and follow one template: the set for two at 45,000 won, the same info block in the same order, and the same notes on hair ties, floss and a free drink for a receipt review. One of them discloses sponsorship. We counted what they describe first-hand, but treat them as a batch.
- Three posts give the phone number 010-4119-5918. Most writers booked through CatchTable, and none say they booked by phone.
