Grill house

Chijik

치직 Chijik is the Korean sound word for meat sizzling on a hot grill.

Compiled from 22 blog posts read in fullSources →

Chijik is a Korean-beef grill on the second floor of a building in Millak-dong, a short walk up an alley from Gwangalli Beach in Busan. The main order now is the Signature Hanwoo Set, five or six of the day's beef cuts at 200 g per person; posts from a March 2026 visit onward put it at 49,000 won (44,000 won in February 2026). At tables, staff grill and cut the meat over charcoal, and many posts end with pot rice and seafood soybean stew, with curry served alongside the rice. Posts from late 2024 to January 2025 instead had the Chijik Set, Korean beef and Berkshire-K pork on one platter (58,000 won, for two or three). We read 30 posts from October 2024 to October 2026; 23 describe a visit. Five were about other places, mostly the sushi bar Siku on the ground floor of the same building, and two only introduced the place without a visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Tables get their meat grilled for them. Eighteen posts said staff or the owner cooked and cut the meat at the table; one described the striploin being seared, rested in tare sauce and sliced again, another said staff came only when needed so as not to interrupt. The counter is different: seven posts said counter seats grill their own, and one diner who preferred the counter moved to a table because only tables are served this way.
  2. There are both counter seats and four-person tables; nine posts mentioned both, and one counted about four tables. Five posts said the tables are well spaced.
  3. You can bring your own drinks. Five posts brought wine or shochu, and staff supplied glasses and opened the bottle. The terms vary by date: two 2025 posts said one bottle per table is free and the second costs 20,000 won, while a February 2026 post mentioned a breakage charge.
  4. Eight posts booked through CatchTable. Some found every table taken by dinnertime, but no post described queuing; one said there was no wait on a weekday evening. Three posts mentioned a waiting area by the stairs or entrance, one with a heater in January 2025.

  1. Posts lean towards good value: seven called the prices reasonable. One said the price alone is not a bargain but the quality and service make up for it. A family of three who had the set plus premium tongue said the beef came to about 160,000 won.
  2. Six posts said the portions are generous; 200 g each was plenty, and one family wondered whether they could finish the last brisket.
  3. Four posts went with family, three of them with children, and four with a partner, several for anniversaries or birthdays. Two went with friends. One post saw a high chair.

Parking

3 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot3 of 22 posts

There is no dedicated parking. All three posts that drove used the nearby Dongbang Sky car park. Two posts from May and June 2026 said the restaurant covers one hour there, but a May 2025 post said no parking support; we could not confirm whether this changed. Don't confuse this with the parking notes for Siku downstairs.

Getting inside

Second floor11 of 22 posts
Toilet inside1 of 22 posts

Eleven posts said you climb stairs to the second floor. Up there is a courtyard with what looks like a detached house, which posts compared to a ryokan or a Japanese hot-spring inn; two said it is a converted house.

Nobody mentioned an entrance step, getting in with a wheelchair or stroller, or a lift. Seven posts only said you go up by the stairs; that means nobody said, not that there is no lift.

Only one post mentioned the toilet: inside the restaurant, clean, with Aesop soap. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied listing information, which we did not count.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 24 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Some prices conflict. A September 2025 post paid 78,000 won for the set for two (39,000 each), while a July 2026 post said 44,000 won had been unchanged for three years; we cannot tell which is right. The two-piece beef sandwich is listed at 8,000 won in February and July 2026 posts and 9,000 won in May 2026. A diner in March 2026 was told cuts were not sold separately, yet two June 2026 posts ordered individual cuts.
  • Opening hours have changed. Posts up to May 2026 said closed Mondays and open until somewhere between 1 and 4 a.m., with the times differing by post. Three posts from late July 2026 give 17:00 to midnight, and an August post was told by the restaurant that closing moved to midnight with no day off. Two of the three copy listing information, so check before going.
  • No post described getting there from a subway station or bus stop. The walk from Gwangalli Beach was given as 3 to 4, 5 to 6 and 10 to 15 minutes in different posts.
  • Eight posts gave the same phone number, 0507-1413-3881. Beef tongue is not always in stock (a May 2025 post found none), and one diner phoned ahead to check before booking.
