Haeundae Gaya Milmyeon

해운대 가야밀면 Milmyeon is Busan's cold wheat-flour noodle dish; Gaya is a place name, and none of the posts explain why the shop carries it.

A milmyeon shop in Jwa-dong, Haeundae, across from Sindo Elementary School. The menu is three items: cold milmyeon at 10,000 won, spicy bibim milmyeon at 11,000 won and dumplings at 6,000 won. We read 5 posts dated August 11 to September 24, 2026, and all five describe an actual visit. One of them was sponsored; the other four say the writers paid their own way.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. All five posts mention waiting. Two waited about an hour, one on a Friday around 1 p.m. One writer arrived at 11:35 on a weekday and got in after five minutes thanks to a remote queue, but saw 39 parties waiting by then. A sponsored visitor arriving around 11 a.m. on a weekend walked straight in and watched a line form during the meal. Three posts used Tabling for the remote queue, one used Catch Table. One post says there is no waiting area inside, so people wait on benches across the street.
  2. Ordering is done by machine: one post used a kiosk, another a tablet at each table. Water and warm broth are self-serve by the entrance, and one post notes that only seated guests, not people in the queue, may take the broth.
  3. One solo traveler with a suitcase found a separate luggage spot to the right of the entrance. The same post says the room seats roughly 60 to 70, but the tables are almost all for four, so solo diners get a four-top too.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

No post describes which floor the shop is on; the ground-floor note in the address is from the listing, not from a visitor.

We don't know whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. One post only says the entrance is narrow; nobody wrote about access either way.

We don't know whether the toilet is inside. One post copied a listing tag saying the toilets are separated by gender, but nobody describes using them.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Only one post describes the walk itself: it is not near Haeundae Station, and you walk a little from Jung-dong Station. The figure of about 200 meters from Exit 10 is copied from listings. No post mentions taking a bus.
  • Who people came with doesn't add up to a pattern: one went alone, one with a boyfriend, one by car, and the rest just say 'we'.
  • Four posts give the same hours, 9:00 to 20:40 daily, but all four copied them from a listing. One adds that the shop closes on the main holiday days.
  • Two posts from September 2026 agree on 10,000 won for milmyeon, 11,000 for bibim milmyeon and 6,000 for dumplings, and one August post gives 11,000 for a double bowl. No one called it expensive or cheap.
  • Two phone numbers appear, 0507-1404-9404 and 051-747-9405, once each, so we can't say which is right. No one mentions phone reservations; four posts queued through remote waitlist apps instead.
