Geodae Dwaeji Gukbap
거대돼지국밥 Geodae means huge or giant (the sign shows the single hanja 巨); dwaeji gukbap is pork and rice soup — the name follows its sister houses Geodae Galbi and Geodae Gomtang.

A pork-soup house at Dalmaji-gil 16-2 in Haeundae, Busan, near the beach. You choose a clear or rich broth; pork, blood-sausage and mixed soups are 13,000 won, the everything bowl is 14,000 won, and the 16,000-won Geodae Gogi+Bap brings boiled pork, broth and rice separately. Ordering is by tablet or kiosk at the table, and the queue runs through CatchTable's remote waitlist. Several writers note it belongs to the same family as Geodae Galbi and Geodae Gomtang. We read 30 posts from 28 July to 20 October 2026; leaving out one about the shop next door and one takeout eaten at home, 28 describe a visit. Most were written after the Michelin Guide Busan 2027 early announcement.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Weekends and lunch mean a long wait. Of 28 visit posts, 19 waited and 4 walked straight in. Reported waits run from 15–20 minutes through 30, 40 and 60 minutes up to 2, 2.5 and 3 hours. The writer who waited 2.5 hours on a Sunday afternoon in October had waited five minutes on a Sunday morning in May. The four who walked in came on a Tuesday at 6:30 pm, a Friday right at opening, a weekday at 11 am and around 9 am. One post with ticket number 98 found the line moved fast; another was twelfth at an 8 am holiday opening and still waited 40–50 minutes because only one server was on the floor.
- Six posts mention seating outside for those waiting; one saw a windbreak tent, another said the area is not large. When you are six or seven places away, a message asks you to confirm arrival with a code.
- Writers keep saying there is no porky smell: 12 posts say none or almost none, while one found the clear broth a little gamey, more so as it cooled. Four compared the clear broth to galbitang. Seasoning is disputed — two say the soup comes unseasoned, five say it is lightly salted already.
- Twelve posts call the room clean and eight call it spacious; one found it smaller than expected. Writers mention a high wooden ceiling, a bar counter facing a garden, window-facing single seats, and brass cutlery.
3 more
- Six posts ordered and paid on a tablet or kiosk at the table, which also shows what has sold out — one saw cold noodles go from available at 11:30 to sold out by noon. Three mention barley tea poured as soon as you sit.
- Eight posts are repeat visits; one writer who moved to Busan in April says this was her ninth visit.
- Company is evenly split: three posts alone, three with friends, three with a spouse and three with family and a baby. Solo diners found the single seats well spaced.

Parking

There is no parking at the shop. All four posts that say where they parked used somewhere else; the three who drove used the Palais de Seas building or a paid lot nearby, one paying 4,000 won an hour. A claim that you can park out front during lunch hours was copied from listings, not tested.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Step-free access | yes 0 · no 1 (of 28 posts read) |

No one described which floor it is on; only the address says ground floor.
Nobody mentioned steps, ramps or wheelchairs — unknown, not absent. Both posts with a baby left the stroller at the entrance or counter, and one regretted not being able to bring it to the table.
No one described the restroom. One post's info box lists it inside the building with separate men's and women's rooms, but that was copied text and we did not count it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- One post went by bus. Directions from Jung-dong or Haeundae station were copied text, so we did not count them; several writers simply walked from a Haeundae hotel.
- Both posts with a baby found high chairs, but one said the chair was too big for a seven-month-old, who had to be held.
- Four posts say boiled pork comes out three times a day (9 am weekdays or 8 am weekends, 2 pm, 6 pm), and 16 visit posts ran into sold-out pork, noodles, sausage or dumplings. One holiday-morning visitor could order only the basic soup before 10 am.
- Prices agree across posts — 13,000 won for the basic soup. Three writers found it expensive for gukbap; one who thinks anything over 10,000 won is too much said the price made sense. One paid with Dongbaekjeon local currency but got no cashback.
- Six posts found the staff friendly; one disagreed, describing a holiday morning with a single server and being told only to keep waiting.
- One writer phoned the shop and was told dogs are not allowed.
- Twenty posts list opening hours, all copied from listings: mostly 9 am–9 pm on weekdays and 8 am–9 pm on weekends, last order 8:30 pm, though two say 9 am–9 pm daily. Four say it is open every day of the year.
- Many posts give the same phone number, 0507-1465-0562. What writers call a reservation is CatchTable's remote waitlist; no one reported booking a table in advance.
- The lines about domestic pork and bones simmered over eight hours and shrimp paste made with sea salt appear almost word for word in four posts; we treat them as the shop's own copy. One of those posts also gives an address and hours that match no other post.
