Western

Jeonpo Yangok

전포양옥 Yangok means a Western-style house; the name pairs the Jeonpo neighborhood with the old Western-style house the dining room is styled after.

Compiled from 29 blog posts read in fullSources →

Jeonpo Yangok is a Western-style restaurant up a flight of stairs above a gift shop in the Jeonpo café-street alleys, a short walk from exit 6 of Jeonpo station in Busan. Most diners go in pairs and share two or three plates: the swirl-omelette rice (15,000 won), Toowoomba cream pasta (18,000 or 19,000 won) and a steak salad (17,000 won), ordered and paid for on a tablet at the table. Almost every post photographed the room, with its chandeliers, painted ceiling and framed old-master prints. We read 30 posts dated 5 August to 26 October 2026; 29 describe a visit, and one was about a neighbouring café and was set aside.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. It is easy by subway: ten posts said it was close to Jeonpo station and easy to find, putting it anywhere from one to under five minutes on foot from exit 6. One post mentioned buses too.
  2. There is an outdoor terrace by the entrance, mentioned in seventeen posts and described in one as tables under a glass roof strung with lights. But nobody actually ate out there: people mention moving inside because of rain or heat. One post called it a rooftop.
  3. Eleven posts said the portions are large, one suggesting a single order could pass for two and another that even the salad eats like a main. Nobody called them small.
  4. The Toowoomba pasta has real heat. Twelve posts called something spicy, ten about the Toowoomba and two about the shrimp oil pasta, and two compared the Toowoomba to Shin Ramyun. One post found the house cream pasta not spicy at all.
3 more
  1. Prices on the September 2026 menu held through the October posts, from 15,000 won (omelette rice, pilaf) to 35,000 won (beef plate). No one called it expensive; five posts called it good value. One couple paid exactly 50,000 won for the pork-jowl Toowoomba, the steak omelette rice and two colas.
  2. Among posts that said who they went with, four went as a couple, two with family (a mother, a child) and two with friends, one of them a group of four for a wedding-invitation dinner. Two posts brought small children, and two saw high chairs.
  3. Five posts called it quiet enough for easy conversation. One counted five or six tables plus a separate back room; another put it at about ten tables including the terrace.

Parking

3 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot3 of 29 posts

There is no restaurant parking. Of the three posts by people who drove, two described parking nearby: one paid an unexpected surcharge for an open-air space in the paid lot next door, another parked out front at lunchtime. Three posts said from experience that you cannot park at the restaurant, and one priced the private lots opposite at 1,000-1,500 won per 30 minutes. Several said there is no parking validation.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

It is easy by subway: ten posts said it was close to Jeonpo station and easy to find, putting it anywhere from one to under five minutes on foot from exit 6. One post mentioned buses too.

Getting inside

Second floor16 of 29 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 12 (of 29 posts read)
Toilet inside3 of 29 posts

The restaurant is on the second floor. Sixteen posts said so, and twelve of them described climbing the stairs to get there, past the sign and turning right at the top. No one described it as a basement.

No post mentions a lift, a ramp or a step at the door. Everyone who described getting in took the stairs, and the two families with small children did not say how they got a stroller up. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is no way in.

The toilet is inside the restaurant: three posts said so, one noting you see it as soon as you walk in, and another called it clean. Nobody said whether it is split by gender.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • No one reported queuing. Three posts booked ahead (one booked a 12:30 table through Naver the same day), and one warned it may be hard to get in without a booking. That is an absence of reports, not proof there is never a wait.
  • Twenty posts give the same hours, 11:30 to 21:30 daily with last orders at 21:00, but all copied them from listing info rather than observing them. Two said it is open every day of the year; one relayed a notice that it would close on Chuseok day only.
  • Many posts list the same phone number, 051-992-1413, and say bookings can be made by phone or through Naver; the three posts that actually booked used Naver.
  • One post says the owners previously ran a popular place called Masan Gamseong in Masan before moving to Busan, but it gives no source, so we treat it as hearsay. Across the three months we read, nothing changed in address, prices or menu.
  • Two posts disclose sponsorship, two say they were invited or given a meal voucher, and one slips that a brief asked it to stress the 'Jeonpo pasta spot' angle. All 30 posts fall within twelve weeks and most titles repeat the same keyword. Twenty-two say nothing about who paid.
