Bakseonghwan Donkkaseu

박성환돈까스 Park Seong-hwan is a personal name — posts say the owner put his own name on the sign — and donkkaseu is the Korean word for tonkatsu, a breaded pork cutlet.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

Park Seong-hwan Donkkaseu is a cutlet house on a side street near Exit 7 of Jeonpo Station in Busan's Jeonpo-dong (64 Seojeon-ro 46beon-gil). You order at a kiosk by the door and pick a table number as you go. Water, side dishes and soup broth are self-serve, and a mushroom soup is brought to your table. The signature is the black tomahawk cutlet, bone-in and coated in squid-ink breadcrumbs; ten posts put it at 15,000 won. Beyond that there are old-school sirloin, a 25 cm king-size cutlet and sauced cutlets (rosé, onion cream), with jjolmyeon, cold soba or udon on the side, and five posts had the two-person couple set. We read 30 posts dated July 25 to October 21, 2026. We dropped two that were about the Namcheon branch and counted the 25 that record actually eating here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. You order at a kiosk, as seventeen posts note. Several explain that you check the seating chart beside it and enter your table number before the order goes through. Cutlets are brought to you; water, kimchi, pickles, pickled radish and broth come from the self-serve bar.
  2. It's easy to reach by subway. Nine posts say it was a short walk from Jeonpo Station. One post agreed it's close but warned that being tucked into an alley makes it hard to find.
  3. No post mentions waiting. The five that say they sat right down went on a weekday morning, a weekday just before 1 p.m., just after the lunch rush, early evening and late evening. Nobody wrote about a weekend midday visit, so we don't know whether there's a line then.
  4. Nineteen posts call the coating crisp; one says the black tomahawk shed crumbs everywhere as it was cut. One post disagrees. Eating the volcano sirloin alone on September 12, that writer found the batter fell away with every cut, the cutlet was thin and the rice was hard, and said they won't return. They noted they paid their own way.
5 more
  1. Twelve posts say the portions are big. One says the "couple" set filled a four-person table, another puts the black tomahawk at about 1.5 times a normal cutlet, and one pair couldn't finish what they ordered.
  2. Eleven posts saw high chairs, and several mention they were wrapped in "sanitized" plastic. Only one post went with a child and ate there.
  3. Four posts say the cheese dishes (the prawn-and-cheese saechidon, the cheese cutlet) get torched again at the table after they're served.
  4. Nine posts mention a receipt-review promotion: post a review and you get a drink, two mini tenderloin pieces or a hash brown. One writer tried the mini tenderloin, another received the black tenderloin.
  5. No post calls it expensive, and five say it's good value for what you get. A meal runs 10,000 to 16,000 won for a cutlet and 7,500 to 8,500 won for noodles.

Parking

1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot1 of 25 posts

One post actually drove: there was nowhere to park out front, so they used the OK parking lot a five-minute walk away (1,000 won per 20 minutes). Several posts paste a "no parking" line from the listing; we didn't count those.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

Toilet inside1 of 25 posts

No post says what floor it's on or whether there are steps. Only the address says "1st floor." That means nobody wrote about it, not that there's nothing to report.

Nobody says whether there's a step at the entrance or whether they got in with a wheelchair or stroller. High chairs come up a lot, but that's not the same as rolling a stroller in.

One post (September 20) says firsthand that the restroom is indoors. Separate men's and women's restrooms appear only in pasted listing info, which we didn't count.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • The black tomahawk stayed at 15,000 won from July to October, so there's no sign of a price rise. Only the sirloin cutlet differs: two posts say 11,000 won, one says 10,000 won.
  • Many posts give the same phone number, 0507-1414-1361. Reservations are mentioned only in pasted listing info; no one says they booked.
  • Twenty-two posts give the hours, and they all match: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., a break from 3 to 4 p.m., last order at 7:30, closed Mondays. Nearly all of them are pasted from the listing. Three say "open daily" while also listing the Monday closure, and two add that it closes on major holidays.
  • Seven posts (July 28 to October 14) end with the same ten hashtags in the same order, and many walk through sanitized high chairs, the hygiene rating and the receipt-review promotion in the same sequence. None disclose sponsorship, and two say they paid their own way. We counted every post that records an actual meal, but bear in mind that much of the praise comes from this cluster.
