S.caf
스카프 Seukapeu Seukapeu is the Korean reading of the sign S.caf, which sounds like the English word 'scarf'; the posts give no story behind the name.

S.caf (Seukapeu) sits at the top of the Haebangchon hill in Yongsan, Seoul, using the third floor and the fourth-floor rooftop of the Arte Sowol building on Sowol-ro 26-gil. Coffee by day, cocktails, beer and wine in the evening. Prices in the posts: americano 6,000 won, bear-ice cold brew 8,000, Haebangchon corn-cream latte 8,500, Basque cheesecake 7,500, ades 7,000. People come for the view rather than the drinks: Haebangchon and Itaewon in front, Namsan Tower behind the rooftop. We read 30 posts from November 2024 to October 2026; 26 describe an actual visit. Three only introduce the place or found it shut, and one was about a baby's scarf and was set aside.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- 21 posts went up to the rooftop, but it is not always usable. One says it is closed when it rains, another found it simply not open that day, and three only looked around up there before sitting downstairs because of wind or heat. One mentions an awning on hot days; one found the rooftop full from sunset on a weekday evening. Several note blankets on loan, even in winter.
- Six posts arrived by public transport. Walking up from Noksapyeong station takes about 20 minutes of climbing; one writer regretted it halfway. Others took the Yongsan 02 village bus or a bus from Sookmyung Women's University station. Two suggest approaching via the Yongsan 2-ga community centre and walking down to the café. Two recommended or used a car or taxi instead.
- Nine posts mention the floor-to-ceiling windows, and several say all seats face outward side by side rather than across a table. On the front row they differ: one found it too close and preferred the second row, while two said the view works fine from the back.
- Five posts found it quiet, mostly on weekdays or in the evening. Others found it packed: every seat taken on a March 2026 weekend, almost full at 4 pm on a Friday in April 2026, busy in March 2026.
3 more
- Three posts call the room spacious with well-spaced tables; one said there are not many indoor seats. One counted mostly two-seaters, with about two four-person tables on the third floor and one on the roof.
- Three posts call the drinks ordinary. A November 2024 visitor could not get a latte because the milk had run out and found the ade and scone poor. Only one post praised the drinks themselves.
- Nobody called it expensive; one post felt the basic coffees were cheaper than other Haebangchon cafés.

Only one post dealt with parking first-hand: a November 2024 visitor found no parking of its own and parked nearby. The 'no parking / use the public lot' lines elsewhere are copied listings, which we did not count.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 6 (of 23 posts read) |

Seven posts say there is no lift and you climb stairs to the third floor; none saw one. Having to climb again after the hill is a repeated complaint. Because the building sits on a slope, one post notes separate entrances on two levels, and another says to use the right-hand door.
No post tried a wheelchair or pushchair or mentioned a step at the door. Seven posts describing stairs only suggest it would be hard, but nobody wrote from experience.
Two posts noted separate men's and women's toilets, two said the toilet is inside the café, and two found it clean. The 'separate toilets' line in copied info boxes was not counted.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post describes queueing. That is not proof there is none — nobody wrote about it. With one weekday visitor taking the last free seat and the full-house reports above, weekends and sunset may mean no seat.
- Prices on the November 2024 menu match those in 2026 posts (americano 6,000, bear cold brew 8,000, einspänner 7,500 won). No post totals a bill; two drinks run roughly 12,000–17,000 won. Nobody gave cocktail prices.
- All opening hours are copied listings. Ten posts agree on Mon–Thu 12:00–22:00 and Fri–Sun 10:00–22:00, but two say only Monday opens at noon and one says 10:00 daily. A November 2024 post listed 15:00–24:00 daily (last order 23:30), so hours appear to have changed since. One visitor in April 2025 found it shut during listed hours, and private-hire early closings are announced on Instagram — check before going.
- Eight posts list the phone number 0507-1391-7912. Nobody booked by phone, so we don't know whether it takes reservations. One post quotes an Instagram notice taking private-hire enquiries by DM.
