Namsan Gieok
남산기억 Namsan Gieok means 'Namsan memory' — the rooftop looks straight at Namsan and its tower; one post says it is the second shop from the owner of a Haebangchon late-night place called Gieok.

An izakaya on the second floor of Sowol-ro 20-gil 6, up the Haebangchon hill, with a rooftop that faces N Seoul Tower. It opens at 5 p.m. The signature is a seasonal sashimi platter called Namsan Gieok-hoe (38,000 won for two to three), eaten alongside braised pork belly, monkfish-liver rolls or sweet-shrimp bisque pasta with sake or soju. We read 24 posts dated 9 June to 29 October 2026. Nineteen were about other places that only shared a word with the name, five were about this restaurant, and four of those describe an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- All four meal posts mention the rooftop. You reach it by stairs: one calls them attic stairs and warns about your head, another says a narrow side staircase opens onto the Namsan view. Two posts say rooftop seats are handled separately. One thought terrace seats were booked on their own, and another saw 21 parties queued for the rooftop on the remote-queue app, which marked it bottle purchase required.
- Three posts mention booking. The June post got the only slot left, 5 p.m. on a Saturday. One October post booked through CatchTable. Another found bookings full, joined the remote queue at 7 p.m. on a Saturday with seven parties ahead for the indoor room, and then waited an hour outside. That is the only post that reports waiting.
- One June post says tables were limited to two and a half hours, so a 5 p.m. seating had to leave at 7:30. The other posts do not mention a limit, which means they did not write about it, not that there is none.
- Two posts describe getting there: one walked up from Noksapyeong Station, the other took bus 402 or 405 and got off right in front.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
2 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
The address says second floor, but no post describes which floor they climbed to on the way in. One post calls the indoor room the ground floor and puts the rooftop up a staircase.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance, wheelchair or stroller access, or a lift. Two posts say the rooftop is up a staircase.
Nobody says whether the toilet is inside the restaurant or split by gender. One June post only notes it was very clean and stocked with floss and mouthwash.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 5 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- One post calls it expensive: four friends paid 76,000 won for the large platter in June and wondered if they were paying for the view, until they tasted it. The same post found the seafood scorched-rice soup too small. No post gives a per-person total; dishes on the menu run 21,000 to 29,000 won.
- Three posts copied the opening hours and they disagree. Two agree on closed Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 5 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday 5 to 11 p.m., but differ on Friday opening (5 or 5:30 p.m.) and Saturday closing (1 a.m. or midnight). One post says it closes on Tuesday only. Four posts give the same phone number, 0507-1304-3403, so check by phone or the booking app before you go.
- Three of the meal posts went with friends or acquaintances, and the June post went as a group of four. Several posts recommend it for dates, but none says they went as a couple. Nobody went alone or with children.
