Cafe
MOUSY
마우시 Mausi Mousy is the English word for timid — the owner told a diner she named the café after her shy dog, Hako.

Mousy is a small brunch café at Sinheung-ro 82-2, ground floor, a short walk from the Haebangchon five-way junction. It opens at 8 a.m. and serves plates built around house-baked focaccia — omelettes, whole-soybean tofu, a chicken and dried-radish-greens cream — plus focaccia sandwiches. On the September 2026 menu a plate runs from 9,500 won (the 'Haebangchon Morning') to 19,000 won (seasonal-greens eggs Benedict), ordered by QR code at the table. We read 30 posts from February 2025 to October 2026; 28 describe actually eating there (7 in 2025, 21 in September–October 2026). In 2025 it closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays and ran 08:00–16:00; posts from September 2026 on say it opens every day and closes at 15:00 on weekdays, 16:00 on weekends.

Rows without a count: 14 of 14 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- It is a small room. Of eleven posts that counted tables, three found about four, six about five, and two found six — mostly two-seaters pushed together for groups. Seven posts mention a seat or two outside by the door; one noted that what looks like floor seating is actually a step you sit on with your feet down.
- Sixteen 2026 posts ordered through the QR code at the table, some noting that payment goes through in the same step. A July 2025 post said you ordered at the counter and then sat down, so the system appears to have changed in between.
- Twelve posts went by public transport. The usual route is the Yongsan 02 village bus from Noksapyeong or Sookmyung Women's Univ. station to the Haebangchon-ogeori stop, then a one-to-four-minute walk; others took the 402 or 405 from Hangangjin. Several warned the hill is steep and recommended the bus over walking up.
- Waits vary, two posts to two. One arrived around 12:30 on a weekday to a full room and waited about 20 minutes outside; one found a short line on a Saturday between 10 and 11. Two walked straight in, one of them around 1 p.m. on a weekday. One more post found much of the menu sold out before 2 p.m. on a weekend.
2 more
- Nine posts found the portions large for brunch — one was so full it was hard to breathe, another said the ham-and-egg sandwich came in two pieces and one was enough.
- Five 2025 posts saw Hako, the shy dog the café is named after. No 2026 post mentions seeing him — which means nobody wrote about it, not that he is gone.

Four posts said there is no parking at the café; one parked at the Yongsan 2-ga community center public lot and walked about a minute. Several warned the alleys are narrow and the public lots fill on weekends.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 3 (of 28 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Separate restrooms | yes 0 · no 1 (of 28 posts read) |
No post described the floor from experience; only the address says ground floor.
No post said whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller got in. Several mention the steep hill outside, but nobody wrote about the entrance itself.
Three posts said the restroom is behind the building rather than inside the café, and one of them said it is shared by men and women. Several mention the owner's hand-drawn sign pointing the way.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- We don't know whether pets are allowed now. 2025 posts said dogs were welcome and listed a 'pupuccino'; one October 2026 post said dogs are no longer allowed under the pet law, while another post that month copied 'pets allowed' from the listing.
- The hours have changed. 2025 posts gave 08:00–16:00 with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off; fifteen posts from September 2026 on say it closes at 15:00 on weekdays and 16:00 on weekends, last order an hour earlier. Most copied this from the listing; one said in its own words that there is no day off. The 'Haebangchon Morning' plate is served only 08:00–11:00.
- Prices have gone up. The tofu plate, chicken-cream plate and roe-omelette sandwich were 16,000, 12,000 and 10,500 won in 2025 posts and 18,000, 14,000 and 12,500 won on the September 2026 menu. Three posts called the prices reasonable.
- Many posts copied the phone number, 0507-1313-8615, but none called or booked. One post's info box says walk-in only, no reservations — also copied, not tested.
- Twenty-one posts cluster in September–October 2026, many repeating the same phrases — 'healthy menu the owner developed', 'loved by foreigners and locals', 'focaccia baked fresh every day'. Five got a free dessert through the review event. Two posts disclosed sponsorship and one said, with a receipt, that the writer paid.
