Hosiubo
호시우보 Hosi-ubo is the idiom 虎視牛步 — look with a tiger's eye, walk at an ox's pace; posts say the house reads it as picking beef sharply and aging it patiently.

Hosiubo is an aged-hanwoo grill on the second floor of TP Tower, linked underground to Yeouido Station. Nearly every seat is in a private room, and staff grill the beef at the table and keep it on a small brazier. Dinner is platters like the Ubo Modum (78,000 won for 150 g) or the Hosiubo Set (105,000 won a head, four or more); lunch is a weekday sirloin set at 49,000 won or tenderloin at 55,000 won, and a weekend chef's lunch course at 65,000 won. We read 30 posts from January 2025 to October 2026, 26 of them from actual visits. Fifteen posted between 20 and 30 September 2026 repeat the same facts in the same order — room sizes, free-parking hours, 500-hour aged sirloin — a promotional batch in which three disclose sponsorship.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Of 26 visits, 24 say staff did all the grilling (the other two had a lunch pot rice and a hot pot). Many describe the meat being rested, sliced and set on a small brazier to stay warm, and three mention a clear acrylic screen put up before grilling to stop spatter. Doneness is cooked to order — one couple got medium-rare and rare from the same grill.
- Twenty-two of 26 visits ate in a private room, and 11 of those had a full window looking out over Yeouido. One poster heard nothing at all from the family that went into the next room for a betrothal lunch. Two mention a wardrobe in the room to keep coats from smelling of grill smoke, and two mention each room has its own air conditioner.
- Twelve posts went by subway or note the direct link: from Yeouido Station (lines 5 and 9) you enter TP Tower underground without going outside and take the escalator to the second floor; two point out you stay dry on rainy days.
- Twenty posts describe walls of wine along the entrance corridor and counter; one adds wine by the glass, traditional liquor, highballs and beer. Corkage is mentioned often — one post copies a notice of one free bottle then 20,000 won a bottle — but nobody says they actually brought their own.

- Dates with a partner or spouse are the most common visit, at 10 posts; three went as a larger group (a company lunch, a four-person set), three with friends or colleagues, and two with parents.

Parking
4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Four posts actually parked in the building garage. The line about 90 free minutes on weekdays and two hours at weekends, entering via the retail wing, is a notice copied almost word for word through the promotional posts. No post about this restaurant gives the rate beyond the free period.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 8 of 26 posts |
|---|---|
| Lift to the floor | 1 of 26 posts |
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 26 posts read) |
Eight posts went up to the second floor by escalator or lift; one September 2026 post says third floor. No one describes it as below ground.
No one says whether the entrance has a step or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in — that is unknown, not a no. One post actually took the retail-wing lift up from the car park; the others repeating that line are copying the notice.
Only one post locates the toilet: outside the restaurant, at the far left end of the corridor (July 2026). Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in one copied amenities list.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on price split. Three posts call it expensive — one March 2026 lunch at 49,000 won complained of few side dishes and one small stew pot shared by four, and swore never to return. One post, which disclosed sponsorship, calls it good value; two say it was not cheap but worth it. Lunch runs 49,000–65,000 won; dinner platters start at 67,000–78,000 won for 150 g.
- No one reports queuing. Fifteen posts booked ahead, one a month ahead for Parents' Day. Whether walk-ins get a table is unknown.
- Promotions keep changing: free wine and raw beef at weekends in January 2025, 20% off grilled cuts at lunch on a table card in July 2026, and a 15% weekend grill discount that a September 2026 post says has ended. A June 2026 post saw a free drink or house wine for reviewing the weekend lunch. What is on offer now is unknown.
- No post mentions a move or a name change. A January 2025 post says it had been open about two months, which puts the opening around autumn 2024.
- All opening hours are copied from listings: weekdays 11:00–22:00, weekends 12:00–21:30, last orders 21:00 and 20:30. The break was 14:00–17:00 in three posts up to June 2026 and 15:00–17:00 in 16 posts from July, so it appears to have moved then. No visit post mentions a regular closing day.
- Nine posts give the phone number as 02-6373-2203; two from May and July 2026 give 0507-1350-2206. Several copy that bookings go through Naver, CatchTable or by phone.
- The 15 posts from 20–30 September 2026 share one template — room sizes, free-parking hours, the glass aging room, '500-hour aging', 'honorary hanwoo ambassador 2026' — in the same order. Only three disclose sponsorship; the rest are silent. Claims the house makes about aging time or grade are repeated, not observed, and we did not count them.
