Underglow Yeonnam is a café one floor below street level in a residential lane of Yeonnam-dong. Visitors ordered coffee, signature drinks (Caramel Velvet 6,500 won, Coconut Strawberry 6,300 won) and scones, and stayed a while. Several posts call it newly opened in summer 2026. We read 7 posts dated 19 July to 30 September 2026; 5 describe an actual visit, the other two are a wish-list post and one entry in a café roundup.

What sets it apart
- Three posts call it quiet. A visitor working on a laptop on a weekday afternoon found the music unobtrusive and noted outlets by the seats, wifi and a very soft sofa; a weekend visitor stayed without crowds.
- Two posts describe an outdoor area inside: one counts two outdoor seats, the other a terrace-like space with concrete walls, a spiral staircase and a mirror.
- No one reports waiting: a weekday-afternoon visitor walked straight in and a weekend visitor found it uncrowded. One post notes blue chairs and a menu board by the entrance for anyone who does have to wait.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| In a basement | 3 of 5 posts |
|---|---|
| Separate restrooms | 2 of 5 posts |
It is underground: three visitors describe going down, one by a staircase from the entrance, one noting the street noise vanished as they descended. Two posts say the ceiling is high, and one mentions a large window letting in light from a planted terrace, so it did not feel cramped.
No post says whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in, or mentions a lift or ramp; one only notes stairs down from the entrance. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is no access.
No post says whether the restroom is inside the café or outside it.
Three posts mention the restrooms and all found them clean; two say they are separate for men and women.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 7 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Accounts of the size differ: the one visitor who addressed it said the café is not especially big but the tables are well spaced; the two posts calling it spacious had not visited. One post estimated about ten tables.
- No visitor described walking from a station or bus stop; the '840 m from Hongik Univ. Station exit 3' line in one post is copied listing data, so we do not rely on it.
- Only two posts say who they came with, one alone with a laptop and one on a date. Nothing has accumulated about coming with friends, family or a group.
- Opening hours come from a single post that copied them from a listing: weekdays 09:00-18:00, weekends 11:00-20:00, closed Tuesdays. A non-visit post also says it opens at 9 a.m. on weekdays, but no two visitors confirmed hours firsthand. Check before going.
- Prices are thin: two drinks at 6,500 and 6,300 won, and 10,000 won for a decaf americano plus scone. We do not know single prices for scones or coffee.
- No post gives a phone number or says whether reservations are taken.
