Damsori is a Korean drinking restaurant on the second floor of 267 Donggyo-ro, Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu, reached by stone steps through a converted house at the end of the Gyeongui Line park. It has an indoor hall, semi-private rooms and an outdoor terrace. It opens at 5 pm and pairs dishes such as octopus-and-pork samhap (36,000 won), cream seafood jjamppong, jeon and hot pots with house-flavoured makgeolli (19,000-20,000 won a bowl). We read 30 posts dated 12 September to 7 October 2026; one was about a different restaurant, leaving 29 visits. Several writers note the place opened recently, so there is no move or change of owner in this window.

Rows without a count: 2 of 22 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Twenty-three posts mention the outdoor terrace. Terrace-only pork belly (31,800 won for two) makes those tables contested: one writer arriving at 6 pm found the terrace fully booked, and a party of four was told by one staff member it could sit outside and by another that the two-person tables were too small, ending up squeezed in anyway. One writer who did sit out found the tables small with nowhere for bags. Six posts call it a rooftop.
- Three posts say they walked straight in — around 8 pm on a Sunday, around 5-6 pm, and at the 5 pm opening with a same-day booking. Four mention waiting seats by the entrance and seven booked ahead through Naver or Catchtable. Reports of queues are hearsay, so we did not count them.
- Seven posts found the staff friendly and two did not. One described staff giving conflicting answers about a terrace table and one employee scolding another in front of guests; another saw a server set the tray on the floor to serve. Two of the seven positive posts were sponsored.
- Fourteen posts say there are private rooms; two stop short, calling them semi-private. The same promotional line about every seat being room or hall recurs across posts, but some writers describe what they saw — a long table in the room by the entrance, a right-hand room opening onto the terrace.
3 more
- Eleven posts call the portions generous and two call them small: one suggests the crab stew for three or more, while others found the beef-and-shrimp jeon gone after a piece each and the potato pancake small.
- Six posts ordered by tablet or QR/NFC at the table, paying at the counter on the way out. The tablets also run a review-for-a-prize draw that eight posts mention — winnings included a soft drink, two bottles of soju and mini beef jeon.
- Five posts say kkakdugi (kimchi in one case) comes to the table free, and one refilled it. One writer said there is no complimentary snack yet described being given kkakdugi, so we left it undecided.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 8 of 29 posts |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | 3 of 29 posts |
| Separate restrooms | 2 of 29 posts |
Eight posts describe climbing stairs to the second floor; several mention stone steps between garden walls, and one put it at half a floor up.
No post places it in a basement; eight say it is up on the second floor and none contradict that.
No post mentions an entrance step, wheelchair or stroller access, or a lift; writers only describe stone steps. That is not proof there is no other way in — nobody wrote about it.
Three posts say the toilet is inside the restaurant and two that it is split by gender; one notes you don't have to step outside. The same line in copied info blocks was not counted.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Thirteen posts found it walkable from Hongik University Station exit 3, quoting 7 to 10 minutes; one notes the Mapo 05 village bus stops right outside.
- Opening hours are most often given as 5 pm to 1 am, to 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays, but posts disagree: some say only Saturday runs late, some Saturday and Sunday, and one reverses it. One post says closed Tuesdays while two say open every day. One lists lunch from 11:30 to 3 pm (not Wednesday or Thursday) while a copied Catchtable page says no lunch, so we don't know whether it opens at midday. Most of these hours are copied from listings.
- No post calls it expensive. Six call it good value — three of them sponsored — and two are undecided: one couple paid 71,000 won for makgeolli and two dishes and called it on the pricey side, another felt value was only middling. Prices also vary: the cream jjamppong appears at 22,000 won on 17 September, 23,000 on 21 and 27 September and 24,000 on 6 October; strawberry ice-cream makgeolli is 17,000 won in one post and 19,000 in the rest. We can't tell whether prices rose or were mistyped.
- The phone number 0507-1310-7149 appears in many posts, always copied from listings; nobody says they booked by phone. Writers booked through Naver or Catchtable, and one suggests calling ahead for a specific table.
- Three posts disclose sponsorship (a meal voucher, a free meal, comped service) and three say they paid, two with receipts; the rest are silent. Stock phrases — every seat room or hall, good for parties and work dinners, everything made in-house, ideal for blind dates — repeat word for word across posts, so some are commissioned. We did not count those phrases or the restaurant's own claims.
