GOWOOGA

고우가 강남 역삼역점 Gouga Gangnam Yeoksamyeok-jeom

Compiled from 28 blog posts read in fullSources →

Gowooga's Yeoksam branch is a Hanwoo beef course restaurant on B1 of Gangnam Finance Center (GFC Mall), connected underground to Yeoksam Station. Every seat is in a private room. A run of small plates — soup, raw fish, abalone, noodles — leads to binchotan-seared strip loin that you finish on your own one-person grill, with rice, beef seaweed soup and side dishes. The most-ordered dinner course B (90 g of beef) is 129,000 won per person; lunch courses start at 39,000 won. We read 30 posts dated 26 July to 19 October 2026 and counted 28 as real visits, leaving out one about a different restaurant and one illustrated only with AI-composited photos. Eight of the 28 say they were sponsored or given the meal; two say they paid themselves.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Twenty-five of the 28 visits mention being shown to a private room — a two-person room for couples, and for one eight-person family meeting a ten-seat room with space for a flower basket. The '23 rooms, up to 24 people' line is copied word for word across many posts. Some note a card on the table naming the manager who served them throughout.
  2. Nineteen posts describe walking past the open kitchen on the way to their room; one says you can see the cooking even from outside the entrance. Seven add that the kitchen or room looked clean.
  3. Sixteen posts say they walked in from Yeoksam Station through the GFC underground passage without going outside, and fifteen place the restaurant on B1. Most name the Exit 2 side; one says Exit 1. Two say it is at the far end of the B1 food court, across from an Indian restaurant.
  4. Eight posts say the beef arrives seared over binchotan and each person finishes it to taste on their own small grill — one mother and daughter liked being able to cook theirs differently. A single post says staff grilled it for them.
2 more
  1. Of posts that say who they came with, 13 were couples, 6 came with parents or siblings, 3 with friends and 3 as larger groups (a family meeting, a team dinner, a friends' gathering). Most mention the anniversary extras when booked in advance: a lettered dessert plate, a Polaroid, and a glass of champagne or grape juice — the drivers chose the juice.
  2. Six posts say they left full; one says the rice portion was so generous a refill was out of the question, another that a big-eating father had enough. One post found the soup and rice ample but the grilling vegetables skimpy.

Parking

4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park4 of 28 posts

Most parking details are copied: GFC building garage on B2–B3. Four posts actually parked there, and two of them found it roomy. Most say two free hours on weekdays and four at weekends, but one says two hours either way, so check the weekend allowance.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 28 posts read)
Separate restrooms1 of 28 posts

No one says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in — that is unknown, not a no. Posts describe arriving via the station passage or by escalator; we do not know where the lift is.

Only one post describes the toilets: shared mall restrooms outside the restaurant, separate for men and women, and clean. Other mentions of separate toilets are copied listing text.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions on price split: five posts call it good value for what you get, one says it is far from cheap, and two say both. One lunch-course diner thought the beef was so-so and you are paying for the atmosphere. A meal runs from 39,000 won at lunch to 119,000–189,000 won for dinner courses.
  • Waiting hardly comes up. One post that arrived half an hour before its booking at a weekday lunch waited about fifteen minutes because every room was full; everyone else had booked through Naver or Catchtable. Nobody says what happens if you walk in.
  • Twenty-two posts list hours, nearly all copied: weekdays 11:00–22:00 with a 15:00–17:00 break, weekends 11:30–22:00 with a 15:00–17:30 break, last order 21:00. Four say 11:00 every day and one gives a weekend break ending at 17:00. One post says there is no closing day.
  • Two phone numbers appear: 0507-1403-9554 in eleven posts and 02-555-9554 in seven. Most booked through Naver or Catchtable; one copied note says groups of seven or more and weekend lunches can only be booked by Catchtable or phone.
  • The course changes with the season: visits through September 2026 opened with sweet-corn soup and striped jack, while October posts have chestnut soup and amberjack. The price of dinner course B stayed at 129,000 won.
  • The eight disclosed sponsored posts and several undisclosed ones repeat the same phrases in the same order — 23 rooms, two years in the Blue Ribbon guide, the three anniversary extras. Some may be promotional, so we lean on concrete facts like prices, times and seating rather than praise.
