Gogikkun Kim Chunbae
고기꾼 김춘배 Gogikkun means a meat man, someone whose trade is meat; Kim Chunbae reads as a person's name, and no post says whose (one blogger wondered whether it is the owner's).

Gogikkun Kim Chunbae is a charcoal barbecue house on the third and fourth floors of a building up the hill behind the CGV, between Gangnam Station exit 11 and Sinnonhyeon. The third floor is an open hall, the fourth mostly private rooms. The usual meal was one portion each of Korean pork belly and collar grilled over a charcoal brazier at the table, finished with icy kimchi noodles or soybean-stew rice; there are also sets with beef rib-finger and skirt. Posts from 13 October list 150 g of belly and 180 g of collar at 21,000 won each; posts from 25 September and 3 October had belly at 24,000 and collar at 22,000. We read 30 posts dated 26 July to 19 October 2026; 23 record an actual meal. We set aside two (another branch in Gongdeok, and a parking-lot post) and did not count five list or overview posts. Of the 23, two disclose sponsorship, one says the writer paid, and 20 say nothing.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Posts disagree on whether staff grill for you. Ten say staff did the grilling (on 15 September it was the owner himself), three say they grilled their own, and one describes a half-self system where diners grill and staff drop by to cut and turn. One 18 October post explains most of it: staff grill in the hall, but in the private rooms you cook yourself — and the other room diners did cook their own. Still, a 6 August post from the third-floor hall also says it was grill-your-own.
- Thirteen posts mention private rooms. The layout recurs — hall on three, rooms on four — and one post says there is also a large room on the third floor. Three posts say rooms take parties of three or more. Several note that even the hall has tall partitions between tables; one room diner found it quiet with the door shut and liked the per-room air conditioning, while another warned that the room fills with smoke if you don't switch on the extractor.
- Six posts booked ahead, through Naver or Catch Table, and several found the side dishes already laid out on arrival. Two mention a deposit: 40,000 won for two people taking a four-seat table, deducted from the bill, and 10,000 won a head for a group booking.
- Eleven posts walked from the subway. Five minutes from Gangnam exit 11 is the most common figure, five or six from Sinnonhyeon exits 6 and 4; one says under ten. Several mention climbing the hill from the five-way junction behind the CGV.

- By company: seven went with friends or acquaintances, five as a couple, one with parents, and two with a larger party such as a nine-person pre-wedding dinner. Posts keep recommending it for wedding-invitation dinners and work outings.

Parking
3 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.
| Posts saying you cannot | 3 of 22 posts |

Three posts say the restaurant has no parking of its own; the advice to use the nearby paid lots (2,000 won per 30 minutes) is mostly copied information. The one writer who drove found all three nearby lots full around 8 pm on a weekday and parked at a public lot further away. The note that parking isn't validated also comes from copied blocks.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 8 (of 22 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Lift to the floor | 9 of 22 posts |
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 22 posts |
Nine posts took the lift up, and eight say they ate on the third or fourth floor — it is not a basement. The entrance is unusual: posts describe a door only 163 cm high (mind your head), a revolving door, and a hidden door on the third floor that opens when you push the hand-shaped panel.
No one says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pram gets in — that means we don't know, not that it's impossible. There is a lift, but one post notes a slope up to the building and two say the door is only 163 cm high.
No one says whether the toilet is inside the restaurant. One post captions a photo as separate men's and women's toilets, and another mentions mouthwash in the toilet.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post reports actually waiting. One saw a Catch Table queue machine and free water on the third floor and guessed there are queues at peak times; two mention seats for waiting. The promise of a drink, pork rind or a portion of rib meat after 15, 30 or 60 minutes is copied from the restaurant's notice. How long the wait really is, we don't know.
- Opening hours appear only in copied info blocks. From 15 September posts agree: weekdays 13:00–22:30 (last order 21:30), weekends 13:00–22:00 (last order 21:00). Two posts from 30 and 31 August give a 12:30 weekend opening, so it seems to have changed in between. One 18 October post says 11:00, unlike every other. No post mentions a closing day.
- Prices depend on when. Posts from 25 September and 3 October have pork belly at 24,000 won a portion and collar at 22,000; three posts from 13 October have 150 g of belly and 180 g of collar at 21,000 each. Posts from 31 August and 15 September give the portion as 200 g. It looks like smaller portions at a lower price, but no post says the restaurant announced it. Only one post totals a meal: 66,000 won for two, with 200 g each of belly and skin-on belly, kimchi noodles and a highball. One writer thought it wasn't expensive given the weight.
- The discount for firefighters, soldiers and police is 15% in two July–August posts and 10% in two October posts. Eight posts from August to October mention the free beef soybean stew for a receipt review.
- Most posts give the phone number as 0507-1342-5659; one list post alone gives 010-3633-3501. Bookings were made through Naver or Catch Table.
- Many posts follow a template. Six from 11–14 October share the same lines about pork twice-selected by Sunjin and semi-direct charcoal grilling and the same order of belly, collar, stew rice and highball; two disclose sponsorship and one records no meal, so we didn't count it. Several from 14–18 October share another identical order. Claims about meat grade, eight years in business or opening without a sign are the restaurant's own lines or hearsay, and we don't rely on them.
