A charcoal beef-grill house on the first and second floors of the O-O 1004 building, 16 Seonyu-ro 47-gil, near Seonyudo station on Line 9. It sells marinated hanger steak and sirloin, but people come for the soybean-paste stew. At lunch (11:30–13:30) you can order the stew on its own for 7,000 won with rice; the pot is set straight on the charcoal brazier at your table, and when it boils a server moves it to a wooden stand and takes the coals away. In the evening posts said you must order meat to get the stew (6,000 won, rice 1,000 won extra). Meat prices went up around September 2026 — hanger steak went from 34,000 to 36,000 won per 200 g. We read 30 posts dated 4 July to 14 October 2026: 23 are visits, 4 only mention the place, and 3 were about other restaurants (the Magok branch, Hyangmiok, Neodonado Sikdang) and set aside.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Seven posts waited and seven did not. The waits given were 20 minutes (arriving 12:40 on a Sunday) and 10 minutes (noon on a public holiday). One weekend visitor arrived at 11:10 to find about ten groups ahead and got in at 11:20; another queued at 11:15 on a Sunday and was let in from 11:25. Those who walked straight in came on a weekday evening, at 12:30 on a weekend, at 11:40, just before opening, or late in the day. There is no ticket or remote waitlist — you simply queue — and four posts said the whole party must be present to be seated. Posts kept saying the line moves fast because the room is big and most lunch guests eat only the stew.
- Nine posts called the stew salty — 'on the strong side', 'pretty high in salt'. Most added that it is fine mixed into rice; one said they drank a lot of water afterwards.
- Ten posts mentioned the take-home stew: 13,000 won, one pack per person. Two said it is sold only 11:00–13:00 and 17:00–20:00. One found it sold out around 1 p.m. on a weekend; another said it comes knotted in a heavy kimchi-style plastic bag.
- Three posts said orders start at two portions. The solo diner was told at the counter and had to add a second pot and rice; another post put the solo lunch at 11,000 won. Meat also has a two-portion minimum.

- Four posts found it easy by public transport — four or five minutes' walk from exit 5 of Seonyudo station — and one actually came by subway. One suggested walking from Dangsan station if you are on Line 2.
- Ten posts called the room large and four mentioned private rooms at the back. Two found it loud with the crowd. Two said they were served a toasty grain tea instead of plain water — one warm, one cold.

Parking
9 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.
| Posts saying you can park | 9 of 23 posts |

Nine posts described the parking from experience, five of them having driven there. There is an underground garage and a lot behind the building, with attendants directing cars. One post noted the front has only one disabled bay and two regular spaces on a single-lane alley, so it is tricky.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 9 of 23 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 3 (of 23 posts read) |
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 23 posts |
Nine posts said the restaurant uses both the first and second floors. One said the queue was seated upstairs first; another that the ground floor is set up for meat and the stew crowd goes upstairs. Three posts went in on the ground floor; none described going down to a basement.
No one mentioned an entrance step, wheelchair or pushchair access, or whether the second floor is reached by stairs or a lift. That means we do not know, not that there is none.
Nobody said whether the toilet is inside the restaurant. One post found separate men's and women's toilets, kept clean (a copied listing says the same, which we did not count).
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-10-14 | 2 posts in one day |

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices changed. July–August 2026 posts (including a menu photo from 22 August) show hanger steak and sirloin at 34,000 won per 200 g and unmarinated sirloin at 39,000; posts from 24 September show 36,000, 35,000 and 40,000. The 7,000-won lunch stew has not changed — most say rice is included, one said it was 1,000 won extra. One couple's dinner of two hanger-steak portions, stew and two rice came to 80,000 won. Three posts found the meat expensive; one called it middling.
- One solo diner found the staff not especially friendly. Another had an item they did not order on the bill, which the cashier removed at once. A third got charcoal ash in their rice when the stew boiled over; staff replaced the rice, but the writer wished someone had explained the routine — and found the table dirty.
- One October 2026 post said a renovation replaced the old smoky floor seating with tables. It did not say when; every post we read from July on describes the current layout.
- Company is scattered — two went with friends, one as a couple, one family with a child, one alone — so we cannot say who it suits. Several posts said the long communal tables would suit a work dinner, but none went as a large group.
- Sixteen posts give opening hours as daily 11:30–21:30, all copied from listings. Eleven list a 15:00–17:00 break and two 16:00–17:00; last orders are 20:30 in eight posts and 21:00 in one. Most say the lunch stew is served until 13:30; one said 11:00–13:00. No post mentions a closing day.
- Seven posts give the phone number 02-2672-2255 and three give 0507-1323-2255. Reservations appear only in copied listings; no one reported booking.
- One post from 10 October follows a 7 October post almost line for line, so we treated it as copied and did not count it as a visit. The 'one of Seoul's top three stews' and 'built a building on doenjang' lines appear everywhere, but they are hearsay and we did not count them.
