Chinese

Peihongreou Euljiro-jeom

페이홍러우 을지로점 Two posts explain the name (北紅樓): 'Pei' is the Cantonese-style reading the house uses for Peking duck, and 'Hong Lou' means a red building, a symbol of luck and prosperity in Chinese culture.

Compiled from 5 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Chinese restaurant on basement level 1 of Signature Tower, 100 Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul; one post says it opened in late June 2026. The draw is oven-roasted Peking duck at 120,000 won; black-bean noodles are 10,000 won, jjamppong 13,000 won, and sweet-and-sour pork starts at 38,000 won. There is an open hall plus private rooms of several sizes. We read 30 posts from 25 July to 9 October 2026; only 6 read as actual meals. Of the other 24, 14 are stamped from one template, 9 are generic advice on choosing a restaurant, and 1 copies the listing.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Five of the six visit posts mention the private rooms. Two pairs of diners were offered a spare room; one of them chose to eat in the hall anyway. One post believed every seat was in a private room, but three others describe a large hall, one noting partitions between hall tables.
  2. The Peking duck cannot be ordered on the day. Three posts say they booked ahead. How far ahead is disputed: one post says three days, another says at least one day.
  3. Two posts say you order from a tablet on the table; one adds that paper menus are also available.
  4. Two posts got something for writing a review: one received dumplings for a receipt review (three each, six in all), the other a bottle of wine.

  1. One pair ordered the duck, the duck-bone stir-fry, jjamppong and dumplings, left most of it, and suggest that order suits three or four people.

Parking

1 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park1 of 5 posts

One post describes parking first-hand: on a weekend they drove in and got four free hours in the building's underground car park, which had plenty of space; they add that weekdays get two hours. Two other posts mention free parking only in copied info lines, which we did not count.

Getting inside

In a basement3 of 5 posts

Three visit posts place it on basement level 1, but none says whether you reach it by stairs or lift.

Nobody says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in; one post only describes an automatic glass door. That is a gap in what was written, not evidence either way.

No visit post says whether the restroom is inside the restaurant or shared with the building; 'separate men's and women's' appears only in the template posts and the copied listing.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 24 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-096 posts in one day
2026-10-084 posts in one day
2026-10-075 posts in one day
2026-10-063 posts in one day
2026-09-212 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Fourteen posts, all published between 6 and 9 October 2026, follow one template: the same six closing hashtags in shuffled order, the same sequence of beats, and not a single price. Their mentions of a waiting area, separate restrooms, high chairs and parking echo the listing's amenity list, so we counted none of it.
  • No post reports waiting for a table; three visitors had booked. One guess that weekday lunch must be busy is just that. We do not know whether there is a queue.
  • Visit posts: two went with friends, one with a partner, one by car. Nobody went with family or children; posts only say it would suit a family gathering.
  • Four posts agree on hours of 11:00-22:00 with a 15:00-17:00 break; two of them say the break is weekdays only. Last order at 21:00 and no closing day come from a single post's copied info line.
  • Prices come from two posts (July and October 2026) and one copied menu. Nobody gave the price of the set course, and no post says what a meal cost per person.
  • The phone number 0507-1317-7439 appears in only one generic post; since the duck needs a reservation, confirm the number before calling to book.
