Mongjungheon Ferrum Tower

몽중헌 페럼타워점 Mongjungheon (夢中軒) means 'a house in a dream'; the restaurant says its interior is modeled on the dream-home of Chinese immortal tales.

Compiled from 20 blog posts read in fullSources →

A dim sum and Cantonese-style Chinese restaurant on the second basement level of Ferrum Tower, near exit 3 of Euljiro 1-ga station. Dim sum runs 14,000 won for three pieces, Shanghai soup dumplings 18,000, Korean-beef jajangmyeon 16,000, seafood jjamppong 20,000 and a small sweet-and-sour pork 45,000; dim sum courses are 65,000 (lunch only) and 80,000. Several posts say dim sum is portioned into individual steamers and noodle dishes are split into two bowls on request. We read 25 posts from October 2024 to October 2026; one was about another restaurant, and 21 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. There are private rooms; seven posts mention them. One describes rooms for six to eight and four-person tables in the hall; one booked a room for a family meeting. The hall's central group seating is round tables, which one writer found claustrophobic.
  2. Seven posts say they reserved. One notes that with a booking the table was already set with hot tea; two attach a hall-only reservation record.
  3. Four posts say hot tea arrives when you sit down, one noting it is kept warm over a small candle. Several list the standing side dishes as zha cai, peanuts and pickled radish.
  4. Eight posts call it expensive — one, comparing with prices back home in Daegu, found the sweet-and-sour pork small for the price. One post says the meal was on a company card.
2 more
  1. Three posts brought their own bottles. Two describe free corkage, but one was charged 30,000 won for a bottle the restaurant also sells, and the other went during a free-corkage promotion. The third only says it used the corkage service, so we don't know whether it cost anything.
  2. Nine posts are from repeat visitors, including a family who returned at the father-in-law's suggestion after a first meeting there.

Posts saying you can park3 of 20 posts

Three posts drove and parked in the building garage: two hours free, then 1,000 won per 10 minutes, and one says staff registered both of their cars at checkout. Parking notes in other posts are copied information.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

3 posts say it is walkable from the station.

Getting inside

In a basement4 of 20 posts

It is underground; four posts describe going down to B2, one noting it was easy to reach on a rainy day. One post says it took an escalator to B1, which differs from the address (B2).

We don't know about steps, wheelchair or stroller access. One post mentions taking an escalator; nobody mentions an elevator or the entrance — which means no one wrote about it, not that it's absent.

We don't know where the restrooms are or what they're like. One information post copies a 'separate men's and women's restrooms' listing; no visitor wrote about them.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 23 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Heat is disputed: two posts found things spicy (the jjamppong, the mala soup dumplings), one found the jjamppong mild, and one didn't commit.
  • No post describes queuing here. One was the first customer on a holiday, and seven went with reservations — we don't know how long a walk-in waits.
  • Three posts say it's an easy walk from Euljiro 1-ga station; one who walked from Jonggak station found it farther than expected.
  • Six posts went with friends, two with family (including a pre-wedding family meeting), two in larger groups and one on a date. Nobody went with children, so we can't say how it suits kids; the high-chair listing is copied information.
  • Opening hours have changed: an October 2024 post and a January 2025 listing give weekdays 11:30–22:00 and weekends 12:00–21:30; posts from February 2025 on give 11:00–21:30. All ten 2026 posts agree on 11:00–21:30, but the afternoon break is listed as ending at 17:00 (two posts), 17:30 (three), or 17:30 on weekdays and 17:00 on weekends (three). All of these are copied listings.
  • No post gives a per-person total. Prices come from one August 2026 order list and a few other posts. Most dim sum comes three to a basket, and five-piece items can be topped up to match the table — one writer accepted a sixth piece thinking it was free and found it on the bill.
  • Four posts give the phone number as 02-6353-8585. Two copy a note that bookings go through Naver Booking and CatchTable, with parties over ten or family meetings handled by phone.
  • Of the 25 posts, two (January and February 2025) are scraped Naver listings and one is about another restaurant; we didn't count those. One post spends a long stretch promoting a bottle of baijiu but doesn't disclose sponsorship.
