Chai797

차이797 청계천점 Chai797 Cheonggyecheon-jeom The posts do not explain the brand name Chai797; Cheonggyecheon-jeom simply means the Cheonggyecheon branch, named for the stream in front of the building.

Chai797 Cheonggyecheon is a Chinese restaurant two floors below ground in the Mirae Asset Center1 building next to Euljiro 1-ga station. It serves dim sum, sweet-and-sour pork and noodles à la carte (dandan noodles 18,000 won, aged sweet-and-sour pork 43,000 won) plus lunch courses at 52,000 to 72,000 won per person, and many posts used its private rooms for team lunches or family meetings. We read 30 posts from November 2025 to October 2026; 9 of them record actually eating here. The rest were about other shops in the building, other branches (Euljiro on Cheonggyecheon-ro 100, Gwanghwamun) or apartment ads.

What sets it apart

  1. There are private rooms. Three posts mention them: a six-seat room for a team lunch, room W01 for a family meeting before a wedding (fully closed off by doors), and other diners in a room on an early evening. The family-meeting post came here because the Euljiro branch's rooms were booked for a first-birthday party.
  2. Three posts found the soup dumplings full of broth; one found too little.
  3. Three posts called it pricey; one found the set for two good value. Prices noted include four soup dumplings for 12,000 won, dandan noodles 18,000, youlinji 45,000 and beef sweet-and-sour 54,000.
  4. Two posts got a weekend discount, one through Naver booking and one through a Naver coupon; the coupon post's bill of 107,000 won for one dish and three mains came to 85,600 after 20% off.

  1. Two posts say it is close to the subway: a 3-5 minute walk from Euljiro 1-ga exit 4 or Jonggak exit 5, and right next to Euljiro 1-ga station.

Parking

Posts saying you can park2 of 9 posts

Two posts found parking easy, one of them on a weekend. The free-parking hours (two hours before 5 pm on weekdays, four hours after that and at weekends) were copied in as information by two posts, so we did not count them.

Where it is

Map showing where Chai797 is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Two posts say it is close to the subway: a 3-5 minute walk from Euljiro 1-ga exit 4 or Jonggak exit 5, and right next to Euljiro 1-ga station.

Getting inside

In a basement7 of 9 posts

It is on the second basement level; 7 of the 9 visit posts say so. One post got a little lost coming in the back entrance and advises using the main entrance.

No post describes steps at the entrance, wheelchair or stroller access, or whether there is a lift down to B2. One post came with a toddler but did not describe getting in.

No post says where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 11 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Pacing splits one to one: a team lunch on Course A found long gaps after the dim sum, while a family meeting on the Gangnyeong course said food came quickly.
  • No post says it waited. One says you walk in around 11 but office workers flood in at 11:30; another advises booking for weekday lunch. Nobody recorded a wait time, which does not mean there is none.
  • Company varies: two posts came with friends, one with both families, one as a work team, and only one brought a child.
  • Two posts give the same hours, 11:00 to 21:30. Only one adds the 15:00-17:30 break, last orders at 14:00 (lunch) and 20:30 (dinner) and no closing day; the other's hours sit in a copied info block.
  • Lunch-course prices differ: posts from April 26 and July 6, 2026 give Course A at 52,000 won per person, while an April 2 post had a 59,000-won course. With several courses on offer we cannot tell a price change from a different course.
  • Only one post gives a phone number, 0507-1355-8972. Two posts booked through Naver.
  • Branches are easy to confuse. Three posts say the Euljiro branch at Signature Tower, Cheonggyecheon-ro 100, closed and became Pei Hong Lou; that is not this restaurant in the Center1 basement. A listicle claiming stream views and floor-to-ceiling windows shows no visit, so we did not rely on it.
