A Korean home-style restaurant in a Sogyeok-dong alley behind the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Bukchon-ro 5ga-gil 35-2). The house dish is the two-person bossam set: boiled pork with dried-radish salad, pickled perilla leaves and salted shrimp, lettuce, side dishes, a kimchi pancake and doenjang stew, listed at 39,000 won in posts from January 2026 on. There is also a short-rib patty set (17,000 won), garden bibimbap (11,000), mushroom bulgogi rice bowl (12,000), cold buckwheat noodles (12,000) and savory pancakes. We read 24 posts from May 24, 2025 to October 14, 2026; 23 describe a visit. Three disclose sponsorship, one a hosted visit, two say they paid; the rest say nothing.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Many guests are foreign visitors. Eight posts saw them in the dining room: one said they were the only Koreans there, one found both occupied tables taken by foreigners at 12:30 on a Sunday, and one left past a group of foreign tourists waiting. Posts also mention an English menu and a QR menu.
- The point made most often is that the pork has no off smell: eight posts said so, and five called the meat (bossam or short-rib patty) thick. One post found the bossam firmer than hoped and cut the large pieces with scissors.
- Seasoning reads as mild: four posts said it was not salty, while one found the doenjang stew a little salty. Several posts repeat that the house makes its own sauces and uses no MSG; that is the restaurant's claim, so we do not count it.
- Six posts called the room spacious: it is split into two areas by a wall, with tables from four seats up to large group tables. One post noted a high ceiling, three mentioned big windows and daylight, and four called it quiet.
2 more
- Two January 2026 posts were served warm barley tea on sitting down; summer posts mention ice-cold water instead.
- It is a 10–12 minute walk from Anguk Station exit 1; six posts describe walking from the subway, one timing it at about 11 minutes. No post came by bus.

Parking
3 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

There is no lot of its own: three posts said so in their own words, and one gave a nearby private lot at 3,000 won per 30 minutes. Other posts' 'no parking' lines are copied info and not counted.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
It is a 10–12 minute walk from Anguk Station exit 1; six posts describe walking from the subway, one timing it at about 11 minutes. No post came by bus.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 2 of 23 posts |
|---|---|
| Separate restrooms | yes 0 · no 2 (of 23 posts read) |
No post describes the floor or stairs from experience; the '1st floor' in the address is registry data. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is nothing to know.
We do not know whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in; no one wrote about it. One post says it is a converted hanok, and several describe potted plants and a small garden at the entrance.
The toilet is inside and shared by men and women, according to two posts; one noted there is no door code but you should knock.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 24 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waits vary. Two posts met a line: one got the last table at 1 p.m. on a Wednesday in May 2025 and everyone after waited, another left past a waiting group in June 2026. Three posts (a weekday evening, a weekend at 2 p.m., a Sunday at 12:30) walked straight in. No one described how the waiting list works.
- The bossam set price changed: a May 2025 post paid 34,000 won, posts from January 2026 on list 39,000 won. Only one post gives the lower figure. A family of four paid 53,000 won for the bossam set and a bulgogi bowl, and three posts called the prices reasonable.
- Only one post came with children — toddler twins — and it noted there were no high chairs.
- Eighteen posts give the same hours — 11:00 to 21:00, last order 20:00, closed Tuesdays — but all are copied listings. Two say there is no afternoon break; one adds holiday closures.
- Many posts list the phone number 0507-1374-8928; none says whether reservations are taken.
- Six posts found the owner and staff kind; one was brought more side dishes before asking, another got refills of the jelly side twice. The only unkind account is a Naver review copied into one post, which we do not count.
- The same hashtag set appears on seven posts, two of which disclose sponsorship, and posts cluster on June 22–23 and July 5–15, 2026. Some of the coverage is likely commissioned.
