Yangjaeok
양재옥 The -ok ending (屋) means 'house', a common suffix for traditional Korean eateries; none of the posts explain the Yangjae part.

Yangjaeok is a pork-soup, boiled-pork and buckwheat-noodle restaurant with its own dining room at the far end of the B1 food hall in Lotte Department Store's main branch, separate from the food court. Most posts ordered a bansang set — a main dish with stir-fried pork and tofu, or with a little boiled pork and two dumplings. In posts from late August 2026 the pork-soup set is 20,000 won, the boiled-pork set 21,000 and the noodle set 20,000. Orders go through a tablet at each table; there are bar seats for solo diners alongside four-person tables. We read 30 posts dated 26 February to 15 October 2026. Five were about other shops in the same building and one only named the place in a food-court roundup, which leaves 24 visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Nine posts said you can walk in underground from Euljiro 1-ga station or the Myeongdong and Sogong underground arcades without going outside.
- Sixteen posts said the pork had no gamey smell — said of the clear soup, the boiled pork and the sundae soup alike. Five said the seasoning is mild; one of them added salted octopus to make up for it.
- Eleven posts said portions are large. One counted ten slices of pork plus two dumplings and broth in the boiled-pork set; another said the young-radish noodle set could feed two.
- Ten posts ordered from a tablet at the table; one also used a QR code on their phone.
3 more
- Eight posts went with family, five with a spouse or partner, two with friends; one drove.
- Four posts brought children and four saw high chairs. One wrote that staff brought children's tableware as soon as they sat down; four posts in all called the staff kind.
- Seven posts noticed foreign diners; one mentioned menus in several languages.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station

Getting inside
| In a basement | 19 of 24 posts |
|---|---|
| Step-free access | 1 of 24 posts |
Nineteen posts placed it deep inside the B1 food hall — past the dessert counters and the food court, at the very end opposite Haeokdam by the passage to the car park. Because the room is separate from the food court, five posts called it quiet.
No post described a step at the entrance, wheelchair access or a lift. One said they got in easily with a pushchair. That does not mean there is no step — nobody wrote about it.
We don't know whether there is a toilet inside the restaurant. One post's directions pass the food-hall toilets on the way; separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied listing blocks.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices changed between July and late August 2026: the pork-soup sets went from 19,000 to 20,000 won and the soup alone from 13,000 to 14,000. The boiled-pork set (21,000), noodle set (20,000) and small boiled pork (15,000) stayed the same. A meal is one set at 17,000–21,000 won. No post called it expensive; one said the single dishes were fair for a department store.
- The menu grew: young-radish barley rice and noodles show up from late July 2026, sundae soup from September. One post found the boiled pork sold out.
- We don't know about waits. No post queued. One said any wait clears quickly; one found it full at weekend lunch until about 2:30 pm, another full even after lunch.
- Seventeen posts gave opening hours of 10:30 to 20:00, mostly copied from the map listing. One wrote weekdays 10:00–20:00 and weekends and holidays 10:00–20:30, noting the hours differ; single posts also gave a 20:30 close, a 10:20 opening and an 08:30 opening. One said it closes on the department store's regular holidays; another noted there is no afternoon break.
- Many posts gave the same phone number, 0507-1372-3047. Nobody made a reservation, and only one line suggests calling ahead for groups, so we don't know whether bookings are taken.
- Many posts from June to October 2026 share the same hashtag line and the same phrases about chilled Korean pork, a 'secret' anchovy-pepper relish and broth simmered daily. Among the visits, one disclosed sponsorship, three said they paid, and the rest say nothing. Some are likely commissioned, so we treated the restaurant's own claims as copied text and did not count them.
