MUWOL
무월 서울시청점 Muwol Seoul Sicheong-jeom Muwol (舞月) means 'dancing moonlight' — the characters are carved into the wooden board the pot rice is served on.
Compiled from 27 blog posts read in fullSources →
A Korean restaurant on the ground floor of the UH Continental Seoul Center, a hotel that opened in August 2026 across from Seoul Plaza. Lunch is a tray of one main plus seasonal pot rice (18,000–25,000 won); dinner is aged sashimi (43,000 won for a medium platter), raw Korean-beef brisket (43,000 won), boiled pork, grilled pork ribs and beef hot pot with house cocktail makgeolli such as the ricotta one. Breakfast (30,000 won) was added in September 2026. You order from a tablet at the table. We read 30 posts dated 31 July to 17 October 2026; 28 describe an actual meal. Seven went with friends, six with a spouse or partner.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Fifteen posts mention private rooms; two specify one each for four, six and eight people. Window tables in the main hall are also screened off by partitions. A group of six colleagues who used the six-seat room said it had a long bench rather than chairs and was not roomy.
- Eight posts say ordering is done on a tablet or kiosk at the table — including adding beef tartare to a lunch tray.
- Fourteen posts call it quiet and one disagrees. One credits the high-backed booths for keeping neighbouring tables inaudible; a party of four at dinner found it lively rather than quiet, full of foreign diners chatting.
- Six posts describe the window seats, which look out on Seoul Plaza, Seoul Library and Deoksugung; booking ahead got some of them a window table. One August lunch post found the blinds down because of strong sun.
1 more
- Two posts describe the walk: about three minutes from City Hall station exit 6, or entirely underground from the Plaza Hotel basement through the Sogong-dong underground arcade — welcome, one said, at midday in August.

The building has no parking. The one post that drove left the car at the Plaza Hotel opposite (6,000 won an hour) and walked over underground. Other posts repeat the restaurant's notice about the Plaza Hotel car park at 6,000 won an hour; we did not count those.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 6 (of 27 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | 3 of 27 posts |
| Separate restrooms | 2 of 27 posts |
It is on the ground floor: six posts describe walking in through the hotel entrance and finding it immediately on the right. Two note a separate street-side door of its own, handy if you come on foot from Myeong-dong.
No one wrote about a step at the door or about getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. An information-only post copied the listing's claim that the entrance and toilets are wheelchair-accessible, but that is the restaurant's own entry and we did not count it. The same goes for lifts. This means no one reported it, not that access is lacking.
Three posts say the toilets are inside the restaurant, and two of them that they are separate for men and women and clean and spacious. No one mentioned an accessible toilet.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Nobody reports queueing. Seven posts booked ahead, and two say they therefore did not wait. A weekday-lunch post found it packed, with tables only freeing up once office workers left. How long a walk-in waits at lunch, we don't know.
- Portions split two to two. One couple who ordered the ribs-and-pork plate for two asked whether it really was two portions, got no rice with it, and ordered more; another post called the dishes neat rather than generous. On the other side, one couple found the 15,000-won lunch tartare filling for two.
- Prices: lunch trays are 18,000–25,000 won. At dinner one couple paid 91,000 won for medium sashimi, ribs-and-pork for two and a makgeolli; three men paid 175,000 won for pork, raw beef, noodles and hot pot. Two posts call it expensive, three say it isn't, one is undecided. Over the same weeks the beef hot pot is listed at 42,000 or 43,000 won and the perilla noodles at 14,000 or 15,000 won.
- Opening hours changed. Six posts from August 2026 copy '11:00–23:00 daily'; fourteen from 10 September onward copy 08:00–23:00 daily, with the same 14:30–17:00 break and 22:30 last order. Three posts say breakfast (08:00–10:00, 30,000 won) launched on 4 September, yet a 31 July post said breakfast would start on 1 August and an 25 August post saw it on sale, so exactly when it opened to non-guests is unclear. Lunch last order is 14:30.
- Most posts give the phone number as 0507-1342-0411; one gives 02-318-3060. Bookings are taken through Naver Booking and CatchTable.
- On promotion: one post discloses sponsorship, one is a hotel review written on a free stay, three say they paid their own way, and the rest say nothing. But five posts went up on 14 August and six on 21 September, and identical phrases — about 'neat breakfast in the morning, seasonal Korean at lunch', cleanliness, interior and service being 'carefully managed', and the sashimi being 'aged to bring out umami' — recur word for word. They look written from the same brief, so take the praise for atmosphere and service with that in mind.
