Mipojip
미포집 롯데백화점 본점 Mipojip Lotte Baekhwajeom Bonjeom Mipo is the spot by Haeundae in Busan where the family opened its first shop, and jip means house; the posts say the signature 'Minyeo' platter is named for the mother and daughter (mo-nyeo) of Mipo.

Mipojip sits in the 14th-floor restaurant arcade of Lotte Department Store's main branch in Jung-gu, Seoul, right at the top of the escalator. The posts describe it as the Seoul outpost of a soy-marinated-seafood house that began in Mipo, Haeundae, Busan. The signature Minyeo set is 43,000 won a head with a two-person minimum, so 86,000 won for two: eight kinds of marinated seafood (crab, abalone, octopus, shrimp, salmon and more), a stone pot of white rice, twelve side dishes and seaweed soup. You scoop the rice out, pour water into the pot, and finish with the scorched-rice tea. Single stone-pot rice dishes run 22,000 to 40,000 won. We read 30 posts from 12 June to 16 October 2026; after removing 7 about other places, all 23 remaining posts describe an actual meal. Six disclose sponsorship, one says the writer paid, and sixteen say nothing either way.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- 'Not salty' is the single most repeated remark. Sixteen of the 23 posts said the marinated seafood was not salty — one writer who dislikes salty soy sauce said she could eat it without rice, another that she did not get thirsty afterwards the way she does with other places. Four called it a little salty but fine with rice. None complained of saltiness. Six found it sweet; one said it was not overly sweet.
- The Minyeo set cannot be ordered solo. Six posts said it needs at least two diners, and one added that the rule is one main per person. Another post said sides (crab 30,000, bulgogi or octopus stir-fry 25,000) can only be added once everyone has a main. A lone diner is left with the one-person set (35,000 won) or a rice dish; no post tried the one-person set.
- Waiting depends on the hour. Three posts walked straight in — two on weekday evenings, one with a booking. Two saw a queue form: one arrived around 11 a.m. with no wait but saw people waiting after 11:30; another came at opening and found a queue by the time they left. One post says the waitlist runs through the Tabling app and drops you if you are not back within 10 minutes. Two posts booked ahead; one was told by phone that bookings are taken only until 7 p.m., though last order is 8.
- Space comes up often. Thirteen posts said the room or the gaps between tables were roomy; one listed two-, four- and larger tables, another said most were four-tops. Fifteen called it clean, often crediting the department-store setting. Two noted a kitchen you can see into.

- Four posts noticed many foreign diners. Two mention an explanation sheet or English menu for visitors.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Several posts give careful directions. Eight say they came straight through from Euljiro 1-ga station, which connects underground to the store. Four took a lift, and they describe different routes: two rode to the 11th floor and then took escalators up to 14; one says the lift in front of OPS bakery on B1 goes to 14 in one go; one simply took the lift up. Seven posts describe going up to the 14th floor; none mention a basement or ground-floor location.
No post describes entering with a wheelchair or stroller; 'wheelchair accessible' appears only in two copied listing blocks. It is inside a department store, but nobody mentioned whether the entrance has a step — we simply do not know.
Nobody described the toilets. 'Separate men's and women's' and 'inside the building' appear only in two copied listing blocks; we do not know whether they are in the restaurant or shared on the floor.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Accounts of a private room are split two to two: two posts describe a separate room, two say it is a partitioned area rather than a true room. The '6-8 person room' figure appears only in copied listing text.
- Six posts mention a review promotion — write a Naver review, get a house drink. One post said they were told they were not eligible.
- Many posts follow one template: four share the same five hashtags in the same order, and nearly all carry the same online-store link, the same '40-year secret soy sauce' and 'three generations' lines and the same hours block. Six disclose sponsorship, but the sixteen silent posts may be commissioned too. We leaned on concrete details — times, prices, what was ordered — rather than praise.
- Opening hours: 21 posts give 10:30-21:00, 15 add last order at 20:00, and 16 say it closes on the department store's closing days. All of this is copied listing text, not something anyone checked in person; the closing days follow Lotte's own calendar. One post notes the restaurant stays open to 21:00 even though the store itself closes earlier.
- Prices are identical in every post from June to October: the Minyeo set at 43,000 won a head, the one-person set at 35,000, rice dishes 22,000-40,000. A set meal for two comes to 86,000 won before drinks or extras. No post flatly called it expensive; two acknowledged it is not cheap before praising what you get.
- Every post that lists a phone number gives the same one, 0507-1439-1424. Two booked ahead; one was told by phone that reservations run only until 7 p.m. How bookings work beyond that, including group rooms, comes only from copied listing text.
