Grill houseKorean

Minso Hanu Jeongsang

민소한우 정상 Hanwoo is Korean native beef, and Jeongsang (頂上) means 'summit' — a sign at the entrance explains it as the place where the strictest standard is kept rather than the highest point.

Compiled from 10 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Hanwoo beef grill in the basement of 34 Jong-ro, between Jonggak and Gwanghwamun stations. Every seat is in a private room and staff grill the beef from start to finish. The weekday lunch Minso Special is KRW 49,000 per person, from two servings, and ends with doenjang stew and rice cooked on the grill plate. The restaurant moved here from a nearby site in spring 2026 and added Jeongsang to its name. We read 30 posts from 2 May 2025 to 9 October 2026; 10 describe an actual meal, all at the new site between May and September 2026 — three office dinners, plus one family meeting, one friends' night and one couple.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Eight of the ten meal posts sat in a private room, several saying every seat is one. One notes spare plates, cups and a coat cupboard by each room's door; a family-meeting post says staff let them hide gifts in the next room and set no time limit on the room.
  2. Seven posts say staff did the grilling — greasing the plate with beef fat, adding rosemary, then turning the heat to warm once the beef is done. The same plate is then used for doenjang stew with rice; one table of four was told a plate takes at most two, so they split two stews and two cold noodles.
  3. Two posts, from May and July 2026, got free beef tartare for joining a review event; one says beef pancake was the other option.
  4. One post brought its own champagne and whisky under corkage; two mention wine displayed at the entrance.

Parking

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

4 posts say it is walkable from the station.

Getting inside

In a basement2 of 10 posts

Two posts describe going down to the basement entrance, one by stairs. Nobody mentions a lift or wheelchair and stroller access — that is unknown, not absent.

One post found the restroom spotless, but nobody says whether it is inside the restaurant or in the building; separate restrooms appear only in a copied listing.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 17 posts we gathered, 7 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-05-202 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices vary widely: three posts agree on KRW 49,000 per person for the lunch set, while one five-person dinner with extras came to about KRW 1,000,000. One post calls it expensive, three say it is fair for what you get. À-la-carte prices come from an info post nobody verified by eating.
  • The restaurant moved from a nearby site to this address in spring 2026; its own blog announced an April opening and a diner says it is now a minute further toward Jonggak. All ten meal posts are from the new site; none describe the old one.
  • Opening hours appear in three meal posts, all copied from listing blocks: all say 11:00–22:00, but the break ends at 17:00 in two and 17:30 in one, and only one lists weekend closure and a 21:30 last order. No post describes a weekend visit.
  • No post reports waiting; three booked ahead. One warns that the waiting area at the basement entrance has no air conditioning, so book.
  • The phone number 0507-1336-5400 appears in the restaurant's blog and one diner's listing block. Three diners booked; the restaurant asks for party size when booking so it can assign a room.
  • Of the 30 posts, three are the restaurant's own promotions, two are from the company that installed its table hoods, and one is a compiled info page — none were counted. Claims such as 1++ grade and 720-hour aging are the restaurant's own wording.
