Yoichi Seongsu
요이치 성수 Yoichi is the name of a town in Hokkaido, known for its Nikka whisky distillery; none of the posts say why the house took the name.
Compiled from 11 blog posts read in fullSources →
Yoichi Seongsu is an izakaya one floor below street level in an alley off Yeonmujang-gil, near exit 4 of Seongsu Station. Of the 11 posts by people who ate here, 10 ordered the aged sashimi platter (45,000 won for two), alongside Kansai-style Korean-beef sukiyaki (30,000 won per person), tantan hot pot (27,000 won) or Nagasaki champon hot pot (25,000 won), with highballs (9,000 won) or Kirin draft. Six posts give the hours as 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. We read 30 posts dated January 8 to October 3, 2026; 11 of them (January 8 to August 22) describe a visit. We set aside 16 that were about the Hokkaido town of Yoichi, the Sapporo sea-urchin shop Yoichiya or Nikka's Yoichi whisky, and did not count 3 list posts that only name the place.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Four posts say shrimp chips arrive first once you order. Several mention a house-made barley miso served with the sashimi.
- Six posts describe a mix of two- and four-seat tables, sofa seating for groups and a bar counter; two say the bar faces the kitchen. Two posts found the room small, with tables set fairly close together.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 2 (of 11 posts read) |
You go downstairs. Five posts describe it as below ground; one notes that although it is a half-basement, big windows keep it from feeling closed in.
No one said whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in — only that the place is a floor down. That means no one wrote about it, not that access is impossible.
The toilet is outside the restaurant. Two posts say so: it is a shared toilet reached by leaving, turning right and going down to the half-basement level, and one mentions having to go up and down stairs. Two posts found it clean.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 14 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Noise is split: three posts found it quiet enough for conversation; one (July 2026) found it a bit loud with a large group at the next table.
- Waiting is barely covered. One post (a weekday evening in January 2026) had no wait but was seated at the bar because the two-seat tables were full; another says it was full by the time they left. We don't know how long weekend evenings run.
- Six posts agree on opening hours of 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. (last order midnight), mostly copied from listings. The closing day is split: two posts say Monday, two say Tuesday — and one of the Tuesday posts also lists Tuesday-to-Sunday opening in the same line. Check before you go.
- One post calls it a little pricey, though in line with nearby izakayas. No one gave a total bill for a meal. Prices noted (May–August 2026): sashimi 45,000 won for two or 60,000 for three, highballs 9,000 won, draft beer 10,000 won.
- Four posts give the same phone number, 0507-1409-0503. Some say you can book through Naver or Catch Table; one diner booked ahead for a mother's birthday.
- Of the 11 visit posts, 2 disclose sponsorship, 1 says the writer paid, and 8 say nothing; one silent post uses the same hashtag set as a sponsored one. The claim that the chef came from the Shilla Hotel is repeated by three posts and we did not treat it as evidence.
