Wongiok
원기옥 Wongi means vitality and ok is the old suffix for an eating house; posts read it as a name for a place that serves restorative boyang stews, and it is also the Korean name of Dragon Ball's Spirit Bomb.

A Korean-beef restorative hot pot and gomtang restaurant on the ground floor of the SKV1 building (Seongsu Knock Knock) on Achasan-ro 17-gil. The hot-pot set with cold platter, stir-fried octopus and dessert is 37,000 won per person; the chef's course, matgim charim, was quoted at 60,000 to 80,000 won per person depending on party size. Many posts describe family meals with parents. We read 20 posts from 16 May to 29 September 2026: we set aside 5 (a Dragon Ball exhibition and the Gwanghwamun branch), did not count 3 lists and promotions, and counted 12 visits, 3 of which were an invited launch event for a sundae-soup meal kit in August 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Heat comes up repeatedly: 7 posts called something spicy—the stir-fried octopus in five, the red hongtang and the tendon salad in one each. One writer who avoids heat found the octopus a bit too hot. Nobody called the boyang hot pot itself spicy.
- Of four posts that judged the seasoning, three found it mild—the broth gentle enough for a toddler, the short rib just right. One found the hot pot too savoury and salty and wished they had ordered the gomtang.
- 3 posts noted the high ceiling, 2 the floor-to-ceiling windows by the tables, and 1 the open kitchen. Two said the room is large and two mentioned private rooms; one described separate bar seats and table seats.
- One post brought its own white wine, corkage-free with the chef's course, and also found a two-for-one draught beer offer. Other mentions of free corkage are copied info.
2 more
- 2 posts ordered on a table tablet, and 6 mention a poached egg arriving first after ordering.
- 4 posts come from repeat visitors—one always orders the gomtang, another added photos from visits in October 2021 and May 2023.

Parking

One post actually parked in the building's underground car park. The two-hours-free parking appears only in copied info blocks in two posts, so we did not count it.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside

| Lift to the floor | 1 of 9 posts |
One post described the way in: park underground, take the lift up, and the restaurant is right there on the ground floor—not a basement venue.
We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or pushchair gets in—nobody wrote about it. One post says the entrance is oddly hidden, like a secret door.
We don't know whether the toilet is inside the restaurant. One post only said the building's facilities were pleasant; nobody gave the location or whether it is split by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 12 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Two posts give different prices for the chef's course: a May 2026 post quotes 80,000 / 75,000 / 70,000 won per person, a June post 70,000 / 65,000 / 60,000. Two posts cannot tell us whether the price dropped or the visits fell at different times. Meals otherwise ran from 16,000 won for special gomtang to 37,000 won per person for the hot-pot set.
- Seven posts list the same opening hours, 11:30–22:00 daily with a 15:00–17:00 break, but all are copied info blocks. Last order splits between 20:45 (3 posts) and 21:00 (2). No post names a closing day.
- Three August 2026 posts were from an invited product-launch event; guests did not order for themselves, so we counted only what they said about the space and the restaurant's own dishes.
- No post described walking from a station. One said it is far from the subway; the 14-minute walk from Konkuk University station exit 1 is copied info. Nobody mentioned buses.
- We know little about waiting: one lunchtime visitor found it not crowded, and nobody reported a queue. One post booked by phone the same day.
- 3 posts went with family, 1 with friends and 2 with colleagues. Nobody went alone or on a date, so we can't say how it suits those.
- Four posts give the phone number 0507-1391-3000; one gives 02-468-2999. One post booked by phone on the day; online booking via Naver or CatchTable appears only in copied info.
