Solsot Seongsu

솔솥 성수점 A sot is the heavy pot Korean rice is cooked in; here every order arrives in its own pot.

Compiled from 12 blog posts read in fullSources →

A rice-pot (sotbap) restaurant in a side street off Yeonmujang 5ga-gil, a short walk from Seongsu Station. Each person gets a tray with one pot and side dishes. You scoop the rice into a bowl, pour broth into the pot, and finish with the softened crust; several posts mention a yogurt drink handed over at the till. A July 2026 menu photo lists cockle, pork-and-bracken and cheese-chicken pots at ₩14,900, steak, sea bream-scallop, abalone and cutlassfish at ₩17,900, and eel at ₩25,900. We read 30 posts dated 13 March to 6 October 2026. We set aside 16 that were about other branches (Yeonnam, Songridan-gil, Sinsa, Mia, Cheonan and others) or other restaurants, which leaves 12 first-hand visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Six posts describe waiting. Only one gives a time: about 10 minutes at a weekday lunch. Another arrived almost at opening and was still second in line, and one says weekday 12–2 pm is almost always busy. One couple joined the queue remotely on CatchTable and walked around until their turn. Two posts went on a weekday outside meal hours and got straight in.
  2. Two posts mention seats outside the door for the queue; one reckons about 15 people can wait sitting down.
  3. Two posts noticed many foreign diners; one from March said everyone in the queue was a foreigner.
  4. Three posts call the portions generous; one says even a big eater is full after finishing his own pot.
2 more
  1. Two posts walked from Seongsu Station: about five minutes from Exit 3, says one; the other suggests Exit 4 and a map.
  2. One post says it's one dish per person. Posts also relay a notice that parties of five or more can't sit together, since tables hold four at most.

The most ordered dish is seuteikeu sotbap (스테이크 솥밥) — 7 of 12 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Parking

1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot1 of 12 posts

One post says there is no parking because the shop is in an alley, and suggests buying a ₩2,000-per-hour pass from the Twosome Place building opposite. Two other posts have 'parking in front/beside the shop' in their info boxes, but that reads as copied listing data, so we did not count it.

Where it is

Map showing where Solsot Seongsu is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

2 posts say it is walkable from the station.

Getting inside

No post describes which floor it's on from experience; only the address says ground floor.

No one mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we don't know, not that it's fine or not.

No post says where the toilet is or whether it's split by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 14 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Table spacing is split one to one: one post found it tight enough to be awkward with winter coats, another found it comfortable.
  • Four posts give opening hours and they don't fully agree. Three say it opens at 11:30, one says 11:00. All agree on a 21:00 close and a 15:00–17:00 break, but one says weekends have no break while another puts the break on weekends. Only one gives last orders (14:20 and 20:20 on weekdays). Check before you go.
  • Only one post says it booked ahead on CatchTable and found the food ready on arrival; the others used CatchTable as a remote queue. Three posts give the same phone number, 010-2046-1130, but none says it booked by phone.
  • No post flatly calls it expensive; two hedge ('a bit pricey, maybe?', '₩17,900, but worth the wait'). Steak rice at ₩17,900 is the same in posts from March, July and September.
  • Two posts about this shop don't count as evidence: one is a templated write-up of its TV appearance on tvN's 'Line-Up Restaurant' (aired 10 August 2026), and the other is a Seongsu restaurant list carrying Coupang affiliate links. Neither describes a visit.
