Sweet Burnt is an independent café on the ground floor of a side street off Seongsuil-ro 4-gil in Seongsu-dong 2-ga. Financiers are the core of the menu, and from March 2026 posts it also sells a butter rice cake baked in a financier mould (2,000 won each). Posts put an Americano at 4,000 won and the signature Sweet Burnt latte at 6,000 won. We read 29 posts from 19 October 2025 to 14 August 2026; 22 describe an actual visit. Two were about other shops and set aside, and five (round-up lists, a gift box eaten at home) were not counted.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Ten posts call it quiet, usually set against the crowds of central Seongsu — one couple were the only customers. One post disagrees: on a weekday in March 2026 the writer was surprised how busy it was, and the same blogger's companion post says the place was packed that day.
- Four posts mention big windows — one looked out on a playground and maples. Five describe the seating: a window bar, two-tops, larger tables and a long bench along the wall.
- Seven posts say it is not expensive, comparing it with other Seongsu cafés: Americano 4,000 won (two posts), financier 2,900 won (one), butter rice cake 2,000 won (two). One post puts coffee at 4,000–6,000 won.
- Four posts describe coming back — a regular who stops in after every hair appointment, a local who drops by after the school run, and one who returned for more butter rice cakes.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 22 posts read) |
|---|
Nobody describes the floor or any steps from experience; only the address says ground floor. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is nothing to know.
Nobody says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in; one post only notes it is a converted house.
The toilet is not inside the café: one visitor says it is outside the building on the ground floor and you take a key and tissue with you. Another post's info line says the same, but that is copied information. Nobody says whether it is split by sex.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The Americano discount has moved. October 2025: weekdays 8:30–11:00 for 3,000 won; January 2026: a 9–11 happy hour. June 2026: weekdays 11:30–13:30 for 3,000 won; August 2026: 1,000 won off weekdays 12:00–13:00. It seems to have shifted from morning to lunchtime — check the current hours on arrival.
- Opening hours depend on when the post was written. Three posts from October–November 2025 give 8:30–20:30; nine from January 2026 on give a 20:00 close (last order 19:30). All are copied info lines. Most say it opens at 8:30; one says 8:00 and one 8:20. One visitor found it open at 8:30 on a Sunday.
- Two visitors say it is an easy walk from Seongsu Station exit 4. Copied info lines give different routes — six minutes from exit 4, twelve from exit 3. Nobody mentions buses.
- No post describes a wait; two say they sat straight down. But one March 2026 weekday visit found it busy, and nobody has written about a weekend after the butter rice cake arrived.
- The three posts that mention seasonal decoration all date from November 2025 to January 2026 and describe a Christmas tree; nobody mentions decoration in other seasons.
- Only one post's info line gives a phone number, and it copies 'reservations available', but nobody actually booked. One post says it takes card and bank transfer only, no cash.
- Two posts are the same blogger writing up the same visit twice. Two other posts are near-identical butter-rice-cake round-ups with the same order and wording, and we did not count them.
