Sushi Kaze

스시카제 Seusi Kaje Kaze is the Japanese word for wind, so the name reads simply as 'sushi wind'.

Data as of · Published ·

Sushi Kaze is a sushi restaurant on the third floor of a building off Yeonmujang 7-gagil, a three-to-five-minute walk from exit 4 of Seongsu Station. Sets are priced by piece count: A (10 pieces) 20,000 won, B (12) 28,000, C (14) 36,000, plus a weekday-only lunch set at 18,000. Kaisendon and futomaki are 28,000 each. Sets come with chawanmushi, salad and miso soup, and nearly every post mentions free soft-serve at the end. We read 30 posts dated April 8 to October 1, 2026, and counted 28 as visits. Four disclose sponsorship, one says the meal was provided by the restaurant, three say they paid themselves, and the other 22 say nothing either way.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. It isn't counter-only. All twelve posts that described the seating mention both tables and a sushi bar. One counted two 2-person tables, four 4-person tables and four bar seats; another counted five 4-person tables, one 2-person table and a bar. One post says tables are pushed together for groups of five or more, and one found the room smaller than expected.
  2. You order from a tablet at the table, as nine posts note. Several say you can choose less rice for the nigiri and leave out the wasabi when ordering. Soy sauce, pickled radish, ginger and rakkyo sit on each table for self-service.
  3. Ten posts walked from a station: six from Seongsu exit 4, three from exit 3, one from Ttukseom. Several give the same directions: head toward the Somunnan Gamjatang restaurant and turn into the alley left of Sulbing; it's the second building.
  4. Five posts went with family (a mother, a husband and child, siblings), four with a partner or spouse, two with friends. The one family with a child ordered the cheese pork cutlet because the child doesn't eat raw fish.

Parking

2 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot2 of 28 posts

There's no parking at the restaurant. Two posts ran into that firsthand, and both posts that came by car prepaid for a spot in a nearby building through a parking app; one paid 6,000 won for three hours. The 'no parking' lines in other posts are copied from the map listing.

Getting there

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for the address instead.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 5 (of 28 posts read)
Lift to the flooryes 0 · no 3 (of 28 posts read)
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 28 posts read)
Separate restrooms2 of 28 posts

It's on the third floor; five posts describe climbing the stairs to get there. A few posts say second or fourth floor, but the address and the other posts agree on the third.

There is no elevator; three posts say so outright. One notes that each landing has a small sign pointing the way up, and there's an umbrella stand on the half-landing below the restaurant.

We don't know whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in; no one wrote about it. Posts do say the only way up to the third floor is the stairs.

Two posts say the restrooms are just outside the restaurant door, separate for men and women; one explains you either check the door code or take a key card from inside. No post describes a restroom inside the dining room.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • We don't know how long waits are. No post describes queuing; that doesn't mean there's never a wait, only that nobody recorded one. One post walked straight in at a weekend dinner peak; another found every table taken on a weekday evening with only bar seats left; another arrived at 7:30 p.m. to a full room and got in on a reservation. Six posts booked ahead, through Catch Table or Naver.
  • Twenty-five posts list opening hours, mostly copied from the map listing, and they all agree: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., last order 8:30, a 3 to 5 p.m. break that many say applies on weekdays only. All agree it's closed Mondays. Seven posts from June 25, 2026 onward add that it also closes on the second Tuesday of each month; posts from April and May don't mention this. Six posts from late June onward still list only Mondays, so we can't pin down when the extra day started.
  • Opinions on price are mixed: one post found it expensive (high 30,000s per person), two thought it fair for the quality, and three felt it wasn't cheap at first but decided it was worth it. One set for one person runs from 18,000 won (weekday lunch) to 36,000.
  • Posts disagree about corkage. One says the first bottle is free and they even got an ice bucket; the listing another post copied says corkage is allowed for a fee. We don't know which is current. Several posts note that beer and wine are sold.
  • Twenty-two posts describe thick slices of fish. But the same promotional lines (a chef with over 20 years in sushi, only the day's best fish, house-made sauces, fresh and thick toppings) appear almost word for word in sponsored and unlabeled posts alike, so this count may echo the restaurant's own pitch. We didn't count the chef's background, same-day sourcing or house sauces; they're repeated copy, not things diners saw.
  • Two posts weren't counted as visits: one blog published the same review twice (August 21 and 26, 2026), so we counted it once; another reposted a year-old note about takeout a family member brought home in August 2025. Many posts give the phone number, 0507-1401-0763.
