Chinese

Seongun

성운 Seongun is the Korean word for a nebula; none of the posts say why the house chose the name.

Compiled from 8 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Chinese restaurant on the ground floor of a building at Achasan-ro 13-gil 33, north of Seongsu station. Jjajangmyeon is 7,000 won, brisket jjamppong and its rice version 10,000 won, and sets of a mini sweet-and-sour pork with two dishes run 28,000 to 34,000 won. Posts describe it as a lunch spot for nearby office workers. We read 21 posts from October 2024 to September 2026; 13 only matched the name (people called Seongun, the singer Ha Sung-woon, the word for nebula) and were set aside, leaving 8 posts, all from actual visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The sweet-and-sour pork gets the most attention. Three posts called it crisp and two said the meat was thick and tender. One placed the batter halfway between Chinese-style guobaorou and the usual Korean version; another said it was chewy like glutinous-rice batter yet stayed crisp. Two posts noted the sauce comes on the side.
  2. Two posts called it cheap: jjajangmyeon at 7,000 won (8,000 for a large) against what one writer called a 9,000-won norm, and another said such prices are rare in Seongsu. Every post that gives the jjajangmyeon price, from October 2024 to August 2026, says 7,000 won.
  3. Expect a wait at weekday lunch. Two posts mention queuing: one says the room has fewer than ten tables, the other that turnover was quick so the wait was short. Nobody recorded how many minutes. An October 2024 post said Saturday lunch was quiet, with only one or two other tables.
  4. Four posts come from repeat visitors: one calls it a regular haunt, one went two or three more times, one always goes at lunch, and one makes the trip specially for the brisket jjamppong.

These are raw counts, not percentages. Someone who did not mention something is not someone who disagreed.

The most ordered dish is jjajangmyeon (짜장면) — 4 of 8 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 8 posts read)
Separate restrooms1 of 8 posts

The address says ground floor, but no post describes the floor from experience.

No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means we don't know, not that it's impossible.

Only one post (January 2026) mentions the toilet: it is the building's, not inside the restaurant, and separated by gender. No other post brings it up.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Opinion on the jjajangmyeon splits one to one: one post found it far too sweet, another said it was not overly sweet.
  • Four posts list opening hours and agree on weekdays 11:00-22:00 with a 14:30-17:00 break, closed Sundays. For Saturdays, an October 2024 post gives 11:00-17:00 (closing at 15:00 on the first and third Saturdays) while posts from October 2025 on give 11:00-15:00, so Saturday hours seem to have changed in between. One post gives 11:00-14:30. Most of these are copied listings.
  • One post copied a listing line saying it is about nine minutes' walk from exit 2 of Seongsu station (Line 2); no one described the walk themselves.
  • Only one post went with a group of three friends and one with two people; the rest were work lunches or don't say. We can't tell how it suits solo diners or groups.
  • Only one post (October 2024) gives a phone number, 0507-1391-6520, and none says whether they take reservations.
