LOCHA TEAHOUSE

로차티하우스 Rocha Tihauseu The sign reads LOCHA TEAHOUSE; the posts give no meaning for 'Locha', and 'teahouse' is the English word for a tea house.

Compiled from 28 blog posts read in fullSources →

A tea house that opened in June 2026 on the ground floor of 90 Seongsu-iro, about 150 m from exit 3 of Seongsu Station. It serves milk teas, fruit teas, sago drinks and brûlée French toast; you order at a kiosk and collect when the buzzer goes. The most-ordered items were the pistachio milk tea (5,900 won, 21 posts), cream-orange brûlée toast (15,900 won, 16) and mango coconut sago (7,500 won, 14); one post that had all three paid 29,300 won. We read 30 posts dated 15 June to 9 September 2026, all from people who went.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Ordering is by kiosk — 18 posts say so. You take a buzzer, pick up at the counter, and return your tray to the return station yourself, where water, napkins and syrup are kept. One post notes the kiosk works in English, Japanese and Chinese.
  2. Size is what people noticed most: 18 posts call it large for Seongsu, 5 mention the high ceiling, and one counted roughly 40 round and bar tables. Fifteen describe a mix of window sofas, two- and four-seat tables, group tables and bar seats.
  3. Eight posts mention big or arched windows letting in daylight, against a deliberately dim interior. Three found power outlets and three used the wifi.
  4. Fifteen posts walked from exit 3 of Seongsu Station, quoting anything from under a minute to under ten. The black façade and big sign on the main road make it easy to find.

  1. No one reports queuing. Five posts walked straight in — a weekday at 1–2 pm, a Saturday at 11 am, a weekday lunch. One post says the sofa seats fill to the point of waiting on weekend afternoons, and several describe hunting for a seat or watching the room fill up.
  2. Five posts call the portions big: the fruit drinks are compared to a Starbucks venti, a sago drink is filling on its own, and the toast is big enough to share.
  3. Sweetness is adjustable: one post notes a 30% default, another chose 10%. Six posts found things not too sweet and five called them sweet — but they were drinking different things.
  4. Three posts noticed many foreign visitors, one naming Japanese, American and Chinese guests.

Parking

5 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot5 of 28 posts

No parking: five posts say so, and one suggests the Hotel Poco car park next door (3,000 won per 30 minutes, 5,000 won per hour). Other posts' 'no parking' lines are copied listings and we did not count them.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 2 (of 28 posts read)
Separate restrooms1 of 28 posts

No one described the floor from experience; only the address says ground floor. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is nothing to say.

Nobody mentions a step at the door or entering with a wheelchair or pushchair. One post copies a listing line saying seats are wheelchair-accessible; that is the shop's own entry, not something anyone saw.

Two posts say the toilets are reached through a door at the back that leads outside the café; one adds they are code-locked and separate for men and women. No one mentions an accessible toilet.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Takeaway is unclear: two copied listings say it is available, but one visitor read a kiosk notice saying milk teas and desserts cannot be taken out.
  • Opening hours shifted. All 26 posts that give hours close at 7 pm, with last orders at 6:30 (19 posts). Up to 13 July, 14 posts gave an 11:00 or 11:30 opening; from 16 July, eight say 10:00, while four later posts still say 11:30 — so it looks like an earlier opening from mid-July, which we could not confirm. These are all copied listings; three say there is no closing day.
  • Prices agree across posts: milk teas 4,900–5,900 won, fruit and sago drinks 6,900–7,900, toasts 15,900–17,900. Only the jasmine green differs (4,900 in two posts, 3,900 in one). One post found it a bit expensive, two found it reasonable for Seongsu, two said the size makes up for the price.
  • Eleven posts give the same phone number, 0507-1401-1123. On bookings, only one copied listing says they are not taken; nobody tried.
  • Ten posts from late June to early August order the same three items and follow the same structure. Two disclose sponsorship, five say they paid themselves. Nearly every post repeats that the tea is roasted in-house; that is the shop's own claim and we did not count it.
  • Two posts found the staff friendly; one got a mango sago without sago, and when the replacement was ready nobody told them.
