LIP'S WICH
립스위치 Ripseuwichi A coined name written LIP'S WICH — the 'wich' reads as the tail of 'sandwich'; none of the posts explain the rest.

Lipswich is a sandwich shop that opened in autumn 2025 at Seongsui-ro 121, near exit 2 of Seongsu Station. You order at a kiosk on the ground floor, collect your food and carry it down the stairs to eat in the basement. The bread is a Neapolitan-style wood-fired dough, filled with jambon, carrot salad, tomato ragu, ricotta-apple jambon or grilled shrimp and corn; on the October 2026 menu sandwiches run 9,900–13,900 won, and a set with a side and drink adds 2,500 won. Posts up to February 2026 also describe sandwiches on 'bageccia', a baguette-ciabatta bread, and a romesco omelette; from June on only the wood-fired dough appears. We read 30 posts from October 2025 to October 2026; 23 of them describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- At lunch there is a line at the kiosk. Four posts queued: one arrived at the 11:30 opening and found people already waiting, one had three or four groups ahead because there is only one kiosk, one saw a line form at noon, one said too many people were waiting. One post had five people ahead at 11:40 but called it short, and one Friday-evening visit found no wait at all. Three posts mention seats or a bench to wait on.
- It is self-service: 14 posts ordered at the kiosk, and water, cutlery and disposable gloves come from a self-bar behind it. Several posts ate with gloves because the fillings spill. One felt that fetching your own ketchup and cola sat oddly with the prices.
- Portions run large: five posts say so — one sandwich was the size of a big man's palm and two people shared it, a family of four each had one and were overfull. One post notes two people could share a single sandwich without ordering drinks.
- Opinions on price split. Three posts lean expensive — definitely not a cheap sandwich, about 30,000 won for two sets, the shrimp is pricey. Two lean cheap — one in October 2025 found it surprisingly affordable, another reasonable. One said roughly 15,000 won a head for a set is fair for Seongsu but not great value.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

Seating is in the basement: 17 posts describe ordering upstairs and eating below, and one notes the ground floor has only a waiting area, no tables. Twelve posts call the basement roomy, and four mention daylight from a window wall despite being underground.
No one mentions the entrance step, wheelchairs, strollers or a lift. Six posts do say the seating is down a flight of stairs, and one calls the stairs narrow. We don't know whether you can eat without going downstairs.
No one says whether the toilet is inside the shop. The single post that mentions it says women's is on the second floor and men's on the first, and that it was clean.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 7 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opening hours are mostly copied info boxes. Twelve posts give 11:30–20:00 and ten say closed Sundays. The break was 16:00–17:00 in two 2025 posts; in 2026 five say 15:30–17:30 and two 15:30–17:00 — one September visitor walked in right at 5 pm. A single post from 4 October 2026 lists Mon–Sat 11:00–20:30, a weekday break of 15:00–17:30 and last order at 20:00; we can't confirm that change.
- Four posts give the phone number 0507-1375-4885. No one says whether reservations are taken; one post walked in on a Friday evening without booking.
- Phrases like '72-hour fermented dough', '400-degree oven', 'sauces made by our chefs' and 'no sugar, no MSG' are the shop's own copy repeated by bloggers, so we don't treat them as evidence. Two posts share near-identical sentences about the location.
