Ran Kalguksu
란칼국수 Kalguksu is knife-cut noodle soup; one blogger guessed that 'Ran' is the 卵 (egg) of gyeran, which fits the egg-drop kalguksu the house is known for, but the shop itself does not say so.

Ran Kalguksu is a noodle shop on the ground floor of the Samwon Building on Seongsuil-ro 8-gil, a short walk from exit 1 of Seongsu Station. The egg-drop kalguksu costs 9,000 won (1,000 more for a large), bibim kalguksu and spicy pork rice are 10,000, summer soy-milk noodles 11,000, the seafood chive pancake 18,000, and boiled pork 30,000 (medium) or 38,000 (large). Rice is free and self-serve; you order on a tablet or kiosk. Two posts say it moved from a smaller unit in the same building. We read 30 posts from 7 June to 4 October 2026; 13 of them describe eating here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Portion size is the most repeated point: 9 of the 13 posts that ate here called the servings large. Two people sharing one large kalguksu said they refilled their small bowls more than four times and still had noodles left, and another post said the spicy pork rice alone could carry you past dinner.
- Seven posts say it is about two minutes, or roughly 100 m, on foot from exit 1 of Seongsu Station. Two mention the yellow plastic tables on artificial turf out front as the landmark.
- There is outdoor seating in front: five posts describe the yellow tables and chairs set out on the pavement, and one saw a group of foreign tourists eating there.
- Five posts say they ordered on a tablet at the table or on a kiosk.
4 more
- Four posts that ate the boiled pork or the spicy pork said there was no gamey smell; none said otherwise.
- Two posts came with a child. One found a high chair and children's bibs in the corner and a 'Seongdong child-friendly restaurant' sign by the counter; the other mentions a basket of sweets by the door that the child looked forward to.
- Prices are seen as low for Seongsu: three posts said so and none called it expensive. Kalguksu stayed at 9,000 won from the June posts to the October ones.
- Expect a wait at lunch. Three posts waited or saw people queuing outside, one saying there is always a line at lunchtime and another seeing a queue even on a rainy day. No one recorded how many minutes. Posts that came after work, or around 5:40 pm on a holiday, found it quiet.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Seven posts say it is about two minutes, or roughly 100 m, on foot from exit 1 of Seongsu Station. Two mention the yellow plastic tables on artificial turf out front as the landmark.
Getting inside
No one describes the floor from experience; 'ground floor' appears only in copied addresses. Posts do mention the outdoor tables and the open folding doors at the front.
We don't know whether the entrance has a step or works for a wheelchair or stroller. That doesn't mean there is a problem; nobody wrote about it.
We don't know where the toilet is or whether it is split by gender; no post mentions it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 15 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Two posts say the shop expanded by moving from a small unit to its present one inside the same Samwon Building. Nobody says when. The public dataset dated 30 June 2026 still lists unit 104; the current address is units 107–108. All the visits we read appear to be at the new space.
- Opening hours come from the same copied block in eight posts: Monday to Saturday 9:00–21:00, break 16:00–17:00, closed Sundays; three add last orders at 20:30. None says they checked. The 17:00–24:00 hours on 8 August were for a one-day pop-up.
- The phone number 0507-1349-6931 is copied in many posts. Reservations were advertised only for the 8 August pop-up (via Instagram DM or phone); whether you can book an ordinary meal, nobody says.
- Four posts between 28 July and 3 August promote the 8 August pop-up with the bar Daejeotaek in the same order and with the same details; only one says the author was invited. The claim that the broth is made from vegetable stock with dried pollack and shrimp is repeated word for word in several posts as shop copy, so we don't treat it as checked.
