Cafe

Puff.out

퍼프아웃 Peopeuaut Puff out is an English phrase for blowing out or swelling up; none of the posts say why the cafe chose it, though the house calls itself a music-themed hideout with a speaker-shaped entrance.

Puff.out is a cafe at 84 Yeonmujang-gil, ground floor, in Seongsu-dong. It serves Americano and a set of signature drinks (Puff Nut Latte, Honey Marron, Cali Cold Brew, Brown Scoop Latte) plus slices of cake. Every post that priced the signature drinks says 6,500 won; two put the Earl Grey chocolate cake at 7,500 won. For the Americano you pick between a brighter West Blend and a nuttier East Blend. There is a bar counter by the door facing a big screen showing beach footage, with tables further in. We read 30 posts dated February 25 to September 29, 2026; 24 are about this cafe and 22 describe an actual visit (May 17 to September 29, 2026).

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Although the toilet is outside, there is a hand-washing sink inside the cafe. Two posts describe it, one noting it is metal. A third saw the tap in the passage but did not try whether it worked.
  2. Seating comes in two parts: a bar counter by the entrance and tables further in. Nine posts describe the seats, some noting a crystal installation divides the two. One estimates room for about ten groups at the inner tables; another sat at the bar because the inside was full. Two posts mention outdoor tables by the window.
  3. The room is small. Six posts say it is not large and none call it spacious. Six posts mention big windows onto the street.
  4. No post describes queueing. Three found free seats: before 1 p.m. the day after a holiday, around 2 p.m. on a weekday, and around 6 p.m. on a weekend. Five say it was crowded or the inner tables were full; one advises grabbing a seat before ordering.
2 more
  1. Six posts went with friends, three with a spouse or on a date, and one with a daughter. One describes a group of mothers spending two hours there on a weekday morning after school drop-off.
  2. Sweetness depends on the item. All three posts about the cakes say they are not very sweet. The two Honey Marron drinkers disagree. Three posts on the Puff Nut Latte and Brown Scoop Latte and one on the Lotus cheese mousse call them sweet.

Parking

Posts saying you cannot2 of 21 posts

There is no parking. Two posts say so from experience: one saw a no-parking sign out front, the other drove and used a public lot nearby. Seven more copied the standard line (no parking; use the paid lot at the Musinsa building opposite or public lots near Seongsu Station), one of them oddly under a 'parking available' label.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 21 posts read)
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 5 (of 21 posts read)

Only one post mentions the floor from experience, saying the cafe appeared right in front of them at street level. No post mentions a basement or upper floor.

No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in — that means nobody wrote about it, not that it is fine. Two posts describe a glass automatic door, one mentions a change in floor level inside, and the toilet is reached via stairs outside.

The toilet is outside the cafe. Five posts say so and none say otherwise. Directions differ: one says go out and slightly left to a half-landing, another says go out and take the stairs on the right. Several posts mention the door code coming on a card or tray with your drink.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 23 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post describes arriving by subway or bus. The '469 m from Seongsu Station exit 3' line appears in several posts but is copied listing data, so we did not count it.
  • The 'no kids under 10' rule appears in several posts' info blocks; it is the cafe's own listing, and no post describes visiting with a child.
  • Only one post mentions dogs: a big border collie was inside when they visited.
  • All opening hours are copied listing data. Opening is consistently 8 a.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. at weekends. Closing time shifts: six posts from May to July 2026 say 9 p.m., an August 26 post says 8:30 p.m., and two September posts say 8 p.m.; one June post says 9:30 p.m. No post quotes the cafe announcing a change, and none mentions a closing day.
  • Prices agree across posts: 6,500 won for the signature drinks and 7,500 won for the Earl Grey chocolate cake. Only the Americano differs: 5,000 won in a June 2026 post, 4,500 won in a September one (decaf 5,000 won). We cannot tell whether it dropped or was misrecorded. Nobody calls it expensive; one calls it cheap for Seongsu. A drink and a slice comes to roughly 14,000 won.
  • Seven posts give the phone number as 0507-1417-8884; one gives 02-466-8880. Nobody says whether the cafe takes reservations.
  • Two posts (May 13 and June 4, 2026) share the same distance line and checklist format and read as generated copy. The May one only restates review statistics, so we did not count it as a visit; the June one alone gives a different phone number and hours.
