NAM JIM REUT
남짐릇 Namjimreut Nam jim is the Thai word for a dipping sauce and lert means excellent, so the name reads roughly as 'great sauce', as several posts explain.

A Thai restaurant in a basement on Yeonmujang 5ga-gil, a few minutes' walk from exit 3 of Seongsu station. Most posts describe two people sharing two or three dishes: khao kha moo braised pork leg on rice (14,500 won), chicken noodle soup with a whole leg (12,000 won), soft-shell crab curry (31,000 won) and leng saap, a heap of pork backbone (26,000 won). You order by scanning a QR code at the table. We read 30 posts dated 31 July to 4 October 2026; 29 describe an actual visit. One describes an October 2025 visit, so its prices are kept separate.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Ordering is by QR code at the table, as fifteen posts say. One adds that only the order goes through the phone and you pay separately at the counter. Several mention a self-serve station near the entrance with cutlery, plates, wet wipes, disposable aprons and hair ties.
- Eight posts call it roomy for a basement, with wide gaps between tables and booth or sofa seating that screens you from neighbours. One post found it smaller than expected. Posts also mention a bar counter along the kitchen for solo diners.
- Five posts note the open kitchen visible as you walk in.
- Six posts say there was no gamey smell, mostly about the braised pork leg, and two about the beef tripe in the noodle dishes.
3 more
- Four posts noticed what looked like Thai diners at nearby tables; one thought they outnumbered the Koreans.
- Five posts found it an easy walk from Seongsu station. The '191 m from exit 3' line many posts repeat is copied from the map listing, so we do not count it.
- Seven posts booked ahead through Naver. One could not book a half-hour slot, so took the noon opening slot on a weekend and waited on the stairs until they were let in a few minutes early. Several posts say Catch Table also works for booking or the waitlist, but that is copied from the listing.

Parking
3 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.
| Posts saying you cannot | 3 of 28 posts |

Three posts confirm from experience there is no parking. Two drove and used nearby lots; one waited about thirty minutes on a Saturday just to get into the Ttukseom public car park. More posts copy 'no parking' from the listing. One names a nearby building's car park, but only in copied info, so we do not count it.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Five posts found it an easy walk from Seongsu station. The '191 m from exit 3' line many posts repeat is copied from the map listing, so we do not count it.
Getting inside
| In a basement | 16 of 28 posts |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | 1 of 28 posts |
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 28 posts |
Sixteen posts describe taking the stairs down to the basement, with a Thai statue at the top of the steps and red neon at the door. One post says it went down two floors, unlike the others, which say one.
No post says whether there is a step at the door or a lift, or whether anyone got in with a wheelchair or pushchair. Several posts only mention walking down stairs. That does not mean there is no lift. Nobody wrote about it.
Only one post is clear about the toilets: separate men's and women's rooms used only by this restaurant, spacious and clean. Two others say only 'right by the entrance' or 'on the same floor', so we cannot tell whether they are inside the restaurant. Some posts copy 'separate toilets' from the amenities list.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waits vary. Three posts waited: about ten minutes behind three groups at 1:30 pm on a Saturday, about thirty minutes, and a full house on the first evening of the Chuseok holiday. Four did not: after 7 pm on a weekday, first in at 5 pm on a Monday, at 6 pm on 5 October 2025 with the room nearly full, and one other walked straight in. One post mentions waiting seats by the entrance.
- All opening hours are copied from listings. Seventeen posts agree: weekdays 11:00–21:00 with a 14:30–17:00 break, weekends 12:00–21:00 with a 15:30–17:00 break. Nine give last orders at 20:10, one at 20:00. One post says closed Mondays, but another ate there at 5 pm on a Monday. One gives a different schedule of 11:30–21:30 daily.
- Prices rose by 500 won between an October 2025 visit and the summer 2026 posts: khao kha moo 14,000→14,500, tripe tom yum noodles 17,500→18,000, chicken noodles with leg 11,500→12,000, tom yum wontons 8,000→8,500. Opinions on value split: four posts call the prices fair, two call them high, one saying the crab curry felt small for its price. One post puts a meal at roughly 17,000–22,000 won a head.
- The menu has changed. Beef pad thai (17,000 won in August 2026), which six earlier posts ordered, had disappeared by mid-September; staff confirmed it was gone. Tom yum goong was 21,000 won in a mid-September post and 23,000 won on a late-September visit, which also says it now arrives on a small burner.
- Portions split three to two. Three posts found them generous, including two people leaving food after four dishes. Two did not, one calling the crab curry about 1.5 servings.
- Fourteen posts give the phone number as 02-462-6811; one gives 0507-1340-6811. Seven booked through Naver; none mention booking by phone.
- Some posts look templated. One post by a self-styled restaurant-industry expert is tagged both 'paid with my own money' and 'sponsored', so we cannot tell who paid. A Seongsu round-up stitched together from other sources is not counted as a visit.
