Mongttang Saenggogi

몽땅생고기 Mongttang means 'the whole lot, all of it' and saenggogi is fresh, never-frozen meat; posts say the place ran from 2005 as Eongteori Saenggogi before taking this name.

A pork-and-Korean-beef grill house a short walk from exit 1 of Seongsu Station. Several posts say it has traded on the same spot since 2005 under the name Eongteori Saenggogi before renaming. Of the 28 posts that ate here, 10 ordered the 450 g 'dwaeji bandang' pork platter (49,000 won) and 5 ordered the brisket-scallop-abalone combo (49,000 won). Kimchi, bean sprouts and bracken go on the grill alongside the meat, and meals end with cold noodles, fried rice or soybean stew. We read 30 posts from 20 February to 21 September 2026; we set aside 1 about the PC room upstairs and did not count 1 that only linked to another post.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. 24 of the 28 posts that ate here said the room is large, often adding that it looks much smaller from the street. Several describe weekday evenings filling up with company dinners. The '100 seats' figure is the restaurant's own copy, repeated by bloggers, so we don't rely on it.
  2. 12 posts said they went back for more side dishes — there is a self-serve bar for kimchi, bracken, lettuce and chillies. Two posts note the kimchi arrives already on the grill, wrapped in foil.
  3. 5 posts got a free pot of soybean stew for leaving a receipt review, and remarked that it was surprisingly generous for a freebie.
  4. 14 posts said it is close to the station; walking times from Seongsu exit 1 were given as 1, 2, 3 and 5 minutes. The '157 m' figure is copied from the map listing.

Parking

2 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park2 of 28 posts

Only 2 posts describe parking first-hand: one saw spaces in front, the other found 'a few small spots' after already paying for a public lot. Copied listings disagree on the number — six, one or two, or one.

Where it is

Map showing where Mongttang Saenggogi is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

14 posts said it is close to the station; walking times from Seongsu exit 1 were given as 1, 2, 3 and 5 minutes. The '157 m' figure is copied from the map listing.

Getting inside

No post describes the floor or any steps at the entrance; only the address says ground floor. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there are none.

No post describes a threshold or entering with a wheelchair or stroller. One copied 'wheelchair accessible' from the listing, which we don't count.

No post says whether the toilet is inside or separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Whether staff grill for you is split: 3 posts say staff did, 2 say they grilled themselves. One of the three was a Korean-beef sirloin order, so it may depend on what you order.
  • Some prices differ between posts. The 750 g pork platter is 74,000 won in 3 posts and 77,000 won in 2, with no clean before/after split by date. The beef platter is 120,000 won in one March post and 129,000 won in two later ones. Soybean stew is 5,000 won in 4 posts and 7,000 won in one. 11 posts called it good value.
  • The restaurant was renamed: many posts mention the old name Eongteori Saenggogi, and every post we read from February 2026 on already uses the new name. No post gives the date of the change, and none says it moved.
  • No post describes waiting. One had heard it gets queues but walked in after 2 pm on a weekday. Several describe a full room on weekday evenings without a line. 2 posts booked ahead.
  • Of the posts that say who they came with: 4 with friends, 1 with family, 1 with a husband, 1 with a group of coworkers. The rest don't say.
  • 20 posts list opening hours, almost all copied from the listing: weekdays 11:00-22:00 (last order 21:30), weekends 11:00-21:30 (last order 21:00). One says 11:00-22:00 daily, one says only Saturday closes early, and one reverses the last-order times. One post says it opens every day of the year.
  • 16 posts give the phone number 0507-1368-9304; 2 give 02-462-9289 for group reservations. One post booked through Naver.
  • Many posts look templated: most repeat the restaurant's own lines about 20 years and two generations, 121-hour aging and top-grade beef, and 5 posts describe the brisket combo in near-identical wording — 2 of them by the same blogger in March and May. 1 post discloses sponsorship, 3 say they paid themselves, and the rest are silent.
