MEALBON

밀본 Milbon Mil is Korean for wheat and bon can mean root or origin; the posts do not explain the name.

Compiled from 16 blog posts read in fullSources →

A kalguksu and pork-rice-bowl shop right by Exit 1 of Seongsu Station (Achasan-ro 7-gil 4, ground floor). Sets pairing beef-bone kalguksu with boiled pork or dumplings and mung-bean pancakes cost 13,900 won, and you order from a tablet at each table. We read 27 posts dated 5 August to 5 October 2026; 17 describe eating here. Eight others were about the airport and Seoul Station branches or a hair treatment that shares the name, and we set them aside. One August 2026 post says the shop moved here from elsewhere in Seongsu.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. It is close to the subway. Seven posts say it is a short walk from Seongsu Station Exit 1, one putting it at 100 metres, about a minute on foot.
  2. You order on a tablet at the table, as seven posts describe; one adds that it runs in Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese. Two posts mention aprons hanging by the entrance.
  3. No post calls it expensive; six say the price is easy on the wallet, one marvelling that 13,900 won includes the boiled pork. The set price is the same 13,900 won in every post from August to October (15,900 for the beef-jeon noodle set, 14,900 for the soybean noodle set).
  4. Five posts describe the side dumplings and mung-bean pancakes as crisp; one writer ordered an extra plate of three for 5,000 won.

  1. Four posts say the portions are generous — one notes the deep bowl holds more than it looks, another that the pork was enough to share.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 16 posts read)
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 16 posts read)

One post describes the dining room as being on the ground floor; the others only repeat the address.

No post mentions a step at the door, stairs, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we don't know, not that there is none.

Only one post covers the toilet: there is none inside the shop, the building's shared one has to be used, and the writer found it very dirty. Nobody says whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 18 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Waiting depends on the hour. Three posts had no wait, all visiting mid-afternoon or at a quiet time; one office worker says the line keeps them away, and another says busy times run through a CatchTable waitlist. Nobody gives a wait time for the lunch rush.
  • Only one post (8 August 2026) mentions a move, saying the shop came from another spot in Seongsu and got roomier. No one gives the old address or the date; every post we read is about the current location.
  • Saltiness splits one to one: one post found it too salty, another said the broth was not salty.
  • Nine posts list daily hours of 11:00 to 21:00, five adding last orders at 20:30, though most are copied info blocks. None mentions a break or a closing day.
  • Three posts list the phone number 02-499-9801. No one says they booked by phone; one mentions joining a CatchTable waitlist at busy times.
  • The seasonal noodle changed: August 2026 posts have the cold soybean noodle set (14,900 won), while posts from late September show an autumn perilla-seed kalguksu, which no one has eaten yet.
