KKYAK

꺅 Kkyak Kkyak is the Korean sound of a squeal; one post says the owners take it as a native word for being stuffed full right up to the throat.

Compiled from 9 blog posts read in fullSources →

A small fusion-Korean drinking spot on a side street by Ttukdo Market in Seongsu, where the owner cooks alone in an open kitchen: grilled pork jowl with perilla-oil noodles, an okonomiyaki-style chicken pancake, gochujang stew, plus highballs, makgeolli, traditional spirits and wine. We read 16 posts dated June 24 to October 4, 2026; 9 are visits here, and the other 7 only matched because 'kkyak' is also a squeal. Just one post gave a price: 29,000 won for the beef tendon hot pot.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. A free nibble arrives when you sit down. Four posts mention it: three describe tofu crackers, one calls it biscuits. One post adds that the water was barley tea.
  2. Ordering is by QR code at the table, per two posts. One post says small plates can only be ordered alongside a large plate and advises reading the notice before ordering. Only that one post mentions the rule.
  3. The room is small: four posts say so, one counted about five tables, and another describes mostly two- and four-seat tables. Three posts mention big open windows; one booked ahead and got a window seat.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

3 posts say it is walkable from the station.

Getting inside

No visitor said what floor it's on; only the address says ground floor. That isn't evidence otherwise — nobody wrote about it.

Nobody mentioned an entrance step, stairs, or wheelchair or stroller access. We don't know.

No visitor described the restroom. One post copied 'separate men's and women's restrooms' from the listing, which we don't count.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • None of the nine posts says whether it was sponsored. Two (October 1 and 4, 2026) repeat the same keyword string and the same walking directions from Seongsu Station Exit 3. Two others went up a day apart in June with the same structure. They may be paid campaign posts, so weigh the praise accordingly.
  • Three posts say it's reachable by public transport: two give walking directions from Seongsu Station Exit 3, one says it's a bit far from the subway but there's a bus stop right outside. The '792 m from Exit 3' figure is copied listing info.
  • No post mentions waiting. That doesn't mean there's never a wait; nobody wrote about it. One post booked ahead, and another advises booking because the room is small.
  • Six posts went with friends and one with a spouse. Several titles say 'date spot', but only one post actually went as a couple. None went with children.
  • Four posts give the same hours, Mon–Sat 5 pm to 1 am and closed Sundays, but all four copied them from the listing. No one recorded times from their own visit. One post mentions being sent out at closing time.
  • Prices are largely unknown. One post gave 29,000 won for the beef tendon hot pot and roughly 3,000 won for added noodles. Nobody gave a total bill or drink prices.
  • Three posts list the same phone number, 0507-1474-0750, all copied from the listing. One post booked ahead; the 'Naver booking available' line is copied listing info.
