Compiled from 15 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Japanese teppan restaurant at Yeonmujang 17-gil 7, ground floor, in Seongsu-dong. It serves pollock-roe monjayaki (19,500 won), okonomiyaki and yakisoba; pairs mostly order the monjayaki set for two (39,500 won) or the signature set for two (39,000 won). Every seat has a griddle, and staff cook the monjayaki at your table. We read 30 posts dated 6 September to 5 October 2026. Jyojyo is a chain, so 13 of them were about other branches (The Hyundai, Yeonnam, Yongsan, Pangyo, Mullae, Songdo, Jeonju) or other restaurants and were set aside; of the 17 about this branch, 15 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Fourteen of the 15 visit posts say staff cook at the griddle in front of you. You write a nickname on a slip when ordering and it comes back as a little flag stuck in your monjayaki; staff fry it, leave a five-minute timer and come back to finish it. One post says the heat was left too low and they had to turn it up themselves.
  2. Nine of the 15 visit posts say they waited: 15 minutes around 5-6 pm on a weekend, 'nearly an hour', and about an hour after registering at 5:30 pm (the app had predicted over two). One weekday visit about 40 minutes before the afternoon break had no wait. Several posts used CatchTable's remote queue; one notes the sign-up kiosk is to the right of the entrance.
  3. Six posts mention a waiting area out front, with chairs and a roomy forecourt. A June visitor says the outdoor waiting zone was fully air-conditioned.
  4. Six posts ordered by scanning the QR code at the table; one says it used to be a paper order sheet. One post describes a stamp card, one stamp per 10,000 won, with a free okonomiyaki at ten.

Parking

One post drove and says there is no parking at the building, so they used a nearby private lot; four other posts copy 'no parking' from a listing.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

Separate restrooms1 of 15 posts

No post describes the floor from experience; the 'ground floor' in the address is copied. That is not proof there is no basement or upper floor, only that nobody wrote about it.

Nobody wrote about a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. We don't know.

Only one post describes the toilets: the women's is inside, the men's outside. A 'separate toilets' line in another post is copied from a listing.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 17 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Posts split on salt: three found it salty (mostly the pollock-roe monjayaki, and one says it won't return because of it), two say it was not too salty.
  • Two posts say the room is not large, but eleven describe a mix of seats: kitchen bar, two- and four-tops, and long tables by the windows and terrace. One group of four waited longer than pairs for a bigger table.
  • Five posts describe walking in; from exit 3 of Seongsu Station they give 9 minutes (two posts), 10 and 15. One says the Seongsu crossroads bus stop is 3 minutes away; another found the entrance on Naver Map in the wrong place.
  • Company is spread thin: one post with family, one with a partner, one with a friend, one group of four.
  • Eleven posts give opening hours, all copied from listings, and they agree: daily 11:30-22:00, weekday break 15:30-17:00, last orders 14:30 and 21:00, no break on weekends and holidays.
  • Prices come from September-October 2026 posts. One post gives the signature okonomiyaki as both 17,000 and 17,900 won. Five posts say it is reasonably priced for a restaurant whose chef appeared on Culinary Class Wars.
  • Three posts give the same phone number, 0507-1328-8757. On reservations we only have copied lines ('first weekday slot bookable', 'Naver / CatchTable booking'); no post actually booked.
