Hwahwadon's Seongsu branch serves Vietnamese-style pho alongside Japanese-style pork cutlets, up on the second floor of a yellow converted house on Yeonmujang 7ga-gil, near Exit 4 of Seongsu Station. Most people order a pho-and-cutlet set; prices mentioned include 14,300 won for beef-intestine pho, 12,900 won for the cheese cutlet and 14,800 won for a pho and loin cutlet set. Three posts said you order on a tablet at the table. We read 30 posts dated July 22 to September 30, 2026. We set aside 14 of them because they were about other branches or other restaurants (Paju, Daejeon, Giheung, Ilsan, Yatap and others). Eleven describe actually eating at the Seongsu branch.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. In the posts we read, people mostly walked straight in. Of six posts that mention waiting, four got a table without queuing (a Friday lunch, a weekday evening, an early-July evening). One got in immediately but saw a line form behind them. Another found no line at 1–2 p.m. on a Thursday, though the writer said the queue is always long when they pass by at weekends. One post describes a board by the entrance where you write your name.
  2. A July 2026 post says two set plates (loin cutlet with mini pho, and karaage curry with mini pho) drop from 14,800 to 10,900 won on weekdays before 5 p.m. A September post paid 9,900 won for the karaage curry set. Six posts also mention the receipt-review reward, which lets you choose a soft drink, a small curry rice or a potato croquette.
  3. Eight posts describe the cutlet coating as crisp. One explains that the tenderloin cutlet arrives as two round pieces, each cut in half, and is still pink inside. Several posts repeat the restaurant's claim of top-grade Korean pork aged 72 hours; we treat that as the shop's own wording, not evidence.

Getting inside

Second floor7 of 11 posts

It is upstairs. Seven posts mention the second floor. One says you simply walk up the stairs, and another says there aren't many steps. One diner didn't realise it was upstairs and wrote their name on a list on the ground floor, then warned readers not to make the same mistake.

No post mentions a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Two posts describe climbing stairs to the second floor, and nobody mentions a lift. That doesn't mean there isn't one, only that no one wrote about it.

No post about the Seongsu branch says where the restroom is or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 16 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-09-083 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Two posts found the dining room small; one called it very cramped. No post about the Seongsu branch called it roomy. The roomy descriptions all came from other branches.
  • Posts disagree on value. One couple spent 30,800 won on three dishes and found it reasonable. Another post was a little disappointed by the prices, and a third called the 14,800 won set their upper limit. A meal here generally costs between about 10,000 and 16,000 won.
  • There's no pattern in who people came with: one post was a date with a husband, one diner ate alone at a four-person window table, and one came with a friend.
  • Six posts by people who visited give the same opening hours, 11:00–21:00 every day, and three give last orders at 20:30. All of these come from information boxes at the top of the posts. Three posts say there is no afternoon break. No post mentions a closing day.
  • Three posts give the phone number as 0507-1372-9888. Only a search-ranking list post gives 0507-1392-9891. One diner booked through Naver and says bookings come with free cheese balls.
  • Two posts disclose that they were paid. They share the same information-box template and the same parking wording. Two posts from July 22 and 23 share an identical hashtag set and phone number, but neither says whether it was sponsored. Hwahwadon has many branches, so close to half the posts tagged with the name were about other locations.
