Compiled from 9 blog posts read in fullSources →

Hongkong Banjeom 0410 at Seongsu is a branch of Paik Jong-won's Theborn Korea Chinese-food chain, right outside Exit 4 of Seongsu Station. You order jjajangmyeon, jjamppong and sweet-and-sour pork from a tablet or kiosk and fetch pickled radish and onion from a self-serve bar. The regular jjajangmyeon price was 6,500 won in a February 2026 post, 7,000 won in April and 8,000 won in July. We read 28 posts dated 7 August 2025 to 4 October 2026. Of these, 17 were about this branch and 13 describe an actual visit; the other 11 were about other branches, news or job listings, and we set them aside.

What sets it apart

  1. It is right by the station: five posts put it directly outside Seongsu Station Exit 4.
  2. Ordering is done by machine. Six posts ordered by kiosk or tablet, four of them specifying a device on the table; one noted that cash must be paid at the counter. Staff bring water and cups; everything else is self-serve, with cutlery and condiments in a drawer by the table.
  3. Food comes fast. Four posts said so, one describing the jjajangmyeon arriving at lightning speed; none complained of a slow kitchen.
  4. Promotions bring prices down sharply. Four of the visit posts ate at a promotional price: two in February 2026 and one on Black Day, April 14, had jjajangmyeon for 3,900 won, and one had the army-stew jjamppong for 7,000 won during a 10–16 September promotion.
2 more
  1. Four posts found the portions generous, including one that was very full after a 3,900-won jjajangmyeon and one that said jjajangmyeon, the zucchini jjamppong stew and a single-serving tangsuyuk fed two adults well.
  2. The chili jjajang is hot. Two posts called their dish spicy: one said the gochu jjajang hurt on an empty stomach and asked staff for plain sauce to mix in; the other found the summer zucchini stew broth spicy.

Getting inside

No visitor said which floor the restaurant is on. The registered address is the ground floor; one post's copied listing says second floor. We simply don't know from first-hand accounts.

No post mentions a step at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access. We don't know.

No post says where the toilet is or whether it is separated by gender. We don't know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 13 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Waits vary: two posts waited and three did not. One waited 15 minutes at a weekday lunch in October 2025; on the 3,900-won promotion day of 14 April 2026 another wrote their name and party size in a notebook on a table outside and waited on chairs by the door. Others walked straight in around 1 pm on a weekend, late in the evening, and on a February promotion day.
  • Prices have moved. The regular jjajangmyeon was 6,500 won in a February 2026 post, 7,000 won in April and 8,000 won in July; the same July post lists a single tangsuyuk at 13,800 won and the zucchini stew at 8,000 won. A 28,800-won set for two appears only in a post mixing this branch with another, so we do not rely on it.
  • No one recorded opening hours from their own visit, and the copied listings disagree: two say 10:00–24:00, one says 10:00–23:30 weekdays and 10:00–23:00 weekends (last order 23:00 / 22:30), and one says 11:00–21:30 daily with a 15:00–16:00 break — that last post also gives the wrong address.
  • Too few posts say who they came with to draw a picture: one came alone for a weekend lunch, one with colleagues. Nothing to go on about friends, families or children.
  • The phone number 02-6956-3366 appears only in two copied listings. One listing says no reservations, but no visitor actually asked.
