Haekbap Seongsu

핵밥 성수점 Haekbap is the chain's name; one post relays the brand's own explanation that 'haek' stands for haeksim (the core) and 'bap' for a meal.

Compiled from 5 blog posts read in fullSources →

The Seongsu branch of Haekbap, a rice-bowl and ramen chain, on the second floor of a building on Yeonmujang 7-gil, a walk from Seongsu Station exit 4. Posts list rice bowls at 10,900-13,900 won, ramen at 11,000 won, and sets (bowl plus mini udon and fried chicken) at 12,900-17,900 won. You order and pay on a tablet or kiosk; fried cheese rice cakes with honey come as a standard side. We read 15 posts from December 2025 to September 2026; 7 are about this branch and 5 describe an actual visit. The other 8 were about other Haekbap branches (Konkuk Univ., Bucheon, Suwon, Ewha, Daehangno, Sinchon) or didn't say which branch.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Waiting splits two to two. One group queued even after 1 pm at lunch; another walked straight in on a rainy day and watched a line form while they ate. One walked right in, and one booked ahead for a weekend and found nobody waiting when they left. Two posts mention waiting seats at the entrance, and one adds chairs on the outside stairs.
  2. Two posts found the food spicy and one didn't. On the karai ramen, one post compared it to Shin Ramyun; another was startled by the red broth but found it milder than expected. One post warns the pork-jowl bowl is spicier than it looks and suggests asking for less heat.
  3. Four posts ordered on a table tablet or kiosk; two add that each person could pay separately.
  4. Two posts found portions generous and one found them small: the pork-rib set came with udon and five pieces of fried chicken, while the salmon-and-shrimp bowl had three pieces of each, which one writer thought too little for a grown man.
2 more
  1. Two posts found the fried chicken crisp; one said it seemed fried in advance, not crisp and slightly cold.
  2. Three posts put it about 200 m, roughly five minutes on foot, from Seongsu Station exit 4.

Getting inside

Second floor4 of 5 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 4 (of 5 posts read)
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 5 posts read)

Four posts describe climbing stairs to the second floor. One says the toilet is not inside the restaurant but on the stairs between the first and second floors.

Nobody mentions an elevator, an entrance step, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Posts only describe taking the stairs; that doesn't mean there is no elevator, just that nobody said.

Nobody says whether toilets are separated by gender; one post notes the toilet code is posted by the entrance.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 7 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Only one post talks about staff: they cleared the table without a word the moment the group stood up, though nobody was waiting, and the writer says they won't return. The others say nothing about staff.
  • Only one post clearly says who they went with (three friends). No post describes going alone or with children.
  • All five visit posts give hours of 11:00-21:30, four of them with last order at 20:40, and two say it opens every day. All of these are copied info blocks, not times anyone checked.
  • One price conflicts: the salmon-and-shrimp bowl set is 17,900 won in a December 2025 post and 14,900 won in a January 2026 post. We can't tell whether the sets differ or the price changed. One post calls the prices easy on the wallet.
  • Two posts give different phone numbers (0507-1314-3926 and 070-7537-3926). One post says they booked ahead for a weekend visit.
  • Of this branch's posts, we didn't count one as a visit because it names no dish or price and reuses lines from other posts (the YouTuber standee, fast turnover). Another is a top-five list of Seongsu restaurants, which we also didn't count.
