Gaetbeorui Jogae Seongsuyeok-jeom

갯벌의조개 성수역점 Gaetbeol-ui jogae means 'clams of the tidal flat' — a chain house built around clams and shellfish.

Compiled from 23 blog posts read in fullSources →

Gaetbeorui Jogae near Seongsu Station (exit 2, one block back at Achasan-ro 107) is a clam hot-pot and noodle house. The centerpiece is the giant clam pot, steamed at your table; three posts put the small size for two at 54,000 won. Six posts had the clam noodle soup at lunch (22,000 won for two), and five had the seafood boil added in June 2026 (Special, 144,000 won). Barley rice from the self-serve bar is free. It is one branch of a chain. We read 30 posts dated February 27 to October 1, 2026; 23 of them describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Staff do the steaming and the cutting, according to seven posts. A timer goes on with the pot; when it rings, a server lifts the lid and cuts the pen-shell muscle, squid, shrimp and abalone onto the big shell for you. Steaming times written down were 10, 11, 12, 12 and 15 minutes. One post was told to eat the scallop muscle first before it toughens.
  2. The self-serve barley rice and side dishes are refillable; nine posts helped themselves freely. You top the rice with young-radish kimchi, chili paste and sesame oil; one post went back for the fresh kimchi three times.
  3. Two posts noted that the table water is roasted hovenia tea rather than plain water.
  4. The room is large: fifteen posts said so, often mentioning wide gaps between tables. One post says tables seat four to eight, one mentions a high ceiling, and one was given a window seat.
3 more
  1. Eleven posts called the portions big. One was amazed that the pot was only a small; two said the Special seafood boil was too much for two people.
  2. It is a walk from Seongsu Station: seven posts said it was close, at two or five minutes. Four named exit 2, one exit 1, one either. It sits one block back from the main road, and one visitor had to phone the shop for directions.
  3. Two posts found the spicy clam noodle soup hotter than expected; one said it was not too spicy.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

It is a walk from Seongsu Station: seven posts said it was close, at two or five minutes. Four named exit 2, one exit 1, one either. It sits one block back from the main road, and one visitor had to phone the shop for directions.

Getting inside

No post says which floor the restaurant is on or whether there are steps; the '1st floor' is only in the registered address.

Nobody mentioned a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. We simply do not know.

No visitor described the restroom. 'Separate men's and women's restrooms' appears only in copied listing text, so we do not count it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 7 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-05-072 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Two posts complained that the stools have no backrest; none said the seating was comfortable.
  • No post describes waiting. Two say they walked straight in, one on a Friday at 6:30 pm. Two booked ahead, and one noticed a waiting bench by the door. Nobody reported on peak-hour waits, which is not the same as there being none.
  • The clam noodle soup has changed. A repeat visitor from 2025 found in August 2026 that it now comes with shelled clam meat, and every post from May 2026 on describes the shelled version. If you want clams in the shell, that is no longer what is served.
  • Thirteen posts give opening hours; twelve say 11:00 to 22:00 with last orders at 21:00, and one (May 2026) says 11:30 to 23:00. Almost all are copied listing blocks. One post says the lunch noodles are only ordered until 5 pm.
  • Prices mostly agree, but one April 2026 post's menu table differs: it lists the pancake at 11,000, chopped octopus at 23,000 and corn cheese at 8,000 won, against 6,000, 30,000 and 3,000 in the August menu and the listing. One couple paid 57,000 won for a small pot plus noodles. No post called it expensive; one first thought the 144,000-won Special was steep, then decided it was fair.
  • Four posts give the phone number as 0507-1474-7954; one gives 02-467-7777. Two posts booked a table in advance.
  • Of the 23 visit posts, six disclose sponsorship or free meals, four of them sharing one hashtag set. Three June 2026 seafood-boil posts use identical phrasing without disclosing anything. Three say they paid themselves. We did not count six templated write-ups with no visit and one post that just copies the listing.
