Don Gol Yag Bang

돈골약방 Dongol Yakbang Dongol Yakbang reads as 豚骨藥房, 'pork-bone apothecary' — the house simmers its clear pork broth with four medicinal herbs (bokbunja, eumyanggwak, yagwanmun, baeksuo).

A clear pork-gomtang shop on a side street off Seongsu Station exit 1, at ground level. The signature boyak gomtang is simmered with four medicinal herbs and served with the rice already in the bowl; licorice tea comes instead of water, and you order from a kiosk at your seat. A bowl was 7,900 won from February 2026 (6,900 during a first-anniversary discount in late April–early May), and cold noodle dishes were added for summer. We read 30 posts from 3 February to 21 September 2026; after removing three about the Dasan branch in Namyangju, two about other restaurants and one list post by someone who never went, 24 first-hand visits remain.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Twelve posts said licorice tea is served in place of water — 'like slightly tart barley tea', 'sweet on the finish'; one called it persimmon-vinegar water. Two preferred plain water, and one asked staff for bottled water. One visitor who came late in the evening got plain water despite the sign.
  2. Of 15 posts that talked about portions, 13 said the meat is plentiful — 'more meat than rice'. One said even the large size wasn't much, and one said the pork is generous but the regular bowl left them hungry, recommending the large for 2,000 won more.
  3. Eight posts said you order and pay first on a kiosk or tablet at the seat; one noted a language selector on the first screen.
  4. Eleven posts described the seating: a solo bar counter plus two- and four-person tables; one said the tables near the door are small and the four-tops are further in. Ten called the room spacious.

  1. Of 20 posts that discussed price, 19 called it cheap for Seongsu — 'gukbap under 8,000 won in Seongsu'. None called it expensive.
  2. Five posts mentioned seeing a wall full of celebrity autographs.

Posts saying you can park2 of 22 posts

Most parking notes copy the listing — one free space in front, a large paid lot opposite, free parking behind on weekends and holidays. Two posts said it in their own words (room for one or two cars in front); none described actually parking.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 2 (of 22 posts read)

No one described the floor or any steps from experience; only the address says ground floor.

Nobody mentioned an entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. A high chair appears only in copied listing amenities.

Two posts said the toilet is outside the shop — a shared building toilet, clean; or out and to the left inside the parking area. Whether it is gender-separated is only in copied listing text.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 23 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices moved over time. February–March 2026 posts found 7,900 won (large 9,900), a thousand more than Naver listed. Four posts from late April to early May wrote 6,900, two of them citing a first-anniversary discount. From June it was 7,900 again. One post alone wrote 7,000 / 9,000. A meal is 7,900 won for the gomtang alone, 10,000 for the noodles.
  • Opening hours appear in 14 posts, all copied from the Naver listing: 13 agree on daily 11:00–21:00 with a 15:00–17:00 break and last order 20:30. One March 2026 post alone said closed Sundays. A September roundup noted the listing only carried a Lunar New Year closure notice, nothing for Chuseok.
  • Waiting is split: one post said weekday lunch draws a queue and suggested arriving before noon; two said there was no wait. No one recorded how long they waited.
  • Three posts said in their own words it is a 3–5 minute walk from Seongsu Station exit 1; figures like '212 m' are copied from the listing. No one mentioned buses.
  • Six posts copied the phone number 0507-1390-1751. No one wrote about making a reservation.
  • Three posts about the same-name Dasan branch in Namyangju were set aside; its prices and dishes are not mixed in here.
