Dammion

담미온 Dammion is a coined brand name; the chain explains it as a gukbap that is rich but not greasy.

Compiled from 14 blog posts read in fullSources →

The Seongsu branch of the Dammion gukbap chain, in the Seongsu Academy Tower right by exit 2 of Seongsu Station. Most posts give 10,000 won for the pork, sundae and spicy gukbap; there are also tofu and army-stew versions, pork-spine soup, a bossam set and cold noodles with grilled pork. Kkakdugi, pickled onion and chives come to the table, with a self-serve bar for more. We read 28 posts from November 2024 to September 2026; four were about other branches and were set aside, and 17 record an actual meal here.

Rows without a count: 7 of 8 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Seven posts describe the room as spacious: about twenty tables, mostly four-seaters, with solo diners and groups side by side. One post notes the seats are long backless wooden benches, a little hard for a long sit.
  2. Six posts mention topping up at the self-serve bar: kimchi, green peppers, pickled onion and chives. One adds that if the soup is too salty they will pour in extra clear broth at no charge.
  3. Six posts say the broth and meat have no porky smell; none say otherwise.
  4. Six posts say in their own words that it is a short walk from Seongsu Station exit 2.

  1. Four posts say the food came quickly and none say it was slow; several mention the earthenware bowls arriving at a rolling boil.

Where it is

Map showing where Dammion is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Six posts say in their own words that it is a short walk from Seongsu Station exit 2.

Getting inside

The only mention of the floor is "1st floor" in copied listing text; no visitor described it, so we do not know.

Nobody wrote about steps, a threshold or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; we simply do not know.

No post mentions where the toilet is or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 21 posts we gathered, 7 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Seasoning splits one to one: one writer found the sundae gukbap salty and asked for more broth, another found it just right.
  • One May 2026 post says only fans were running and eating hot soup was sweaty; no other post mentions cooling.
  • Prices: posts from March 2025 to May 2026 agree on 10,000 won for a bowl. The large size is given as 12,000 won in January 2026 and 11,000 won in April. The suyuk set was 16,000 won; a small sundae plate was 8,000 won for twelve pieces, which that writer felt was expensive. Five posts called the prices fair.
  • Opening hours: seven posts give 10:00-23:00 on weekdays and 10:00-21:30 at weekends, all copied from the listing. A November 2024 post gives a weekday close of midnight, so this seems to have changed since. One June 2026 post alone calls it a 24-hour restaurant, which no other post supports. Two posts say there is no afternoon break.
  • No post describes queuing. Several say it fills with office workers at lunch, and one went a little early and found it quiet. That does not mean there is never a wait; nobody recorded one.
  • Company is mixed: two posts went alone, one with a sibling, one with a partner. Several note that many diners eat alone.
  • The phone number 0507-1440-9288 appears only in copied listing text; nobody wrote about calling or booking.
