Daechwi

대취 Daechwi (大醉) means getting thoroughly drunk, and several posts point out that the name says exactly that.

Compiled from 15 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Korean-style drinking spot on the second floor of a building on Yeonmujang 7ga-gil, a few minutes from exit 4 of Seongsu Station. The signature is North Korean-style poached chicken thighs (30,000 won): the whole thighs are shown at the table with chives, taken back to be deboned, then returned with hot broth. Sides include a beef-brisket kimchi pancake (19,000 won) and grilled pollock roe (13,000 won), and seasoned dry instant noodles come free as a starter. We read 30 posts from November 2024 to September 2026; 11 were about the separate Bangi branch in Songpa and 3 only linked here from other places, so we set those aside. Of the 16 remaining Seongsu posts, 15 describe an actual visit.

Rows without a count: 10 of 10 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. No one wrote that they waited. Six posts walked straight in: around 5 pm and 6 pm on weekdays, 6:30 pm on a Friday, 5 pm on a Saturday, right at opening, and once simply because it was empty. The Saturday visitor noted it seemed to fill up from 8 pm, and the opening-time visitor found it full by the time they left. Several posts mention a CatchTable waitlist kiosk at the door for busy times.
  2. The seasoning is mild. Six posts called the chicken plain or light, likening it to a lightly seasoned chicken hot pot; one added salt to the broth. Another said it simply tastes like samgyetang.
  3. Eleven posts mention the free starter of dry instant noodles dusted with soup powder; two asked for more and got it.
  4. Four posts found the portions large: two people could not finish the chicken, and a group of three said one thigh each was more than enough.
2 more
  1. Four posts gave specific examples of attentive staff: ice topped up unasked, the restroom key already in hand when a guest stood up, sauces set on both ends of a table of four, and a free shaved-ice dessert after a wrong bottle was served.
  2. Three posts said it is a three- to four-minute walk from exit 4 of Seongsu Station.

Separate restrooms2 of 15 posts

Eight posts said you go up to the second floor of the building. Several said a street-level sign with menu photos makes it easy to find, and some mention taking the stairs. One post described it as the third floor, or 'two and a half'.

No one said whether there is a lift or a step at the door; posts only mention climbing stairs to the second floor. That is an absence of reports, not a confirmed absence. The 'no elevator' note comes from a Bangi branch post and does not apply here.

The restroom is outside the bar. Four posts said so: it is half a floor or a floor up, and you take the key hanging by the entrance, shaped like Thor's hammer. One post warned there is another restroom half a floor down that is easy to confuse with it.

Two posts said the restrooms are separate for men and women; another described a single stall.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 16 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Ten posts gave the same opening hours: 5 pm to 1 am on weekdays, 4 pm to 1 am on weekends. All of them copied a listing, and only one mentioned that there is no closing day.
  • Four posts listed the phone number 0507-1341-4621. Posts from December 2024 to March 2025 said reservations are not taken on Fridays and Saturdays and run only until 6:30 pm on other days; a Naver booking notice copied into two July 2026 posts repeats the 6:30 pm cutoff and asks reserved parties to order one main per two people. We don't know whether Friday and Saturday bookings have opened since.
  • Prices come from a handful of posts per dish. Only one post gave a full bill: 121,000 won for four people (about 30,000 each) for the chicken, a zucchini-shrimp pancake, squid, a bottle of Hwayo and a highball. The chicken stayed at 30,000 won from December 2024 to August 2026.
  • Posts disagree on the number of chicken thighs: three posts say three, two say four.
  • Eleven posts were about the Bangi branch in Songpa. Their notes on parking, 30 to 40 minute waits, an indoor restroom and 2 to 4 am closing apply to that branch, not this one, and we left them out.
