CHARM THAI
참타이 Chamtai Charm Thai — the Latin name on the sign reads 'charm', and the Korean 참 can also mean 'true' or 'genuine'.

A Thai restaurant on the ground floor of 67-16 Achasan-ro in Seongsu. Noodle soups (beef 11,900 won, tom yum 12,900 won), pad thai with shrimp (12,900 won) and rice plates such as braised pork knuckle are ordered and paid for on a tablet at the table, and several posts note that both the floor staff and the cooks are Thai. This is a relocated shop — two posts from February and April 2026 say it moved here from a smaller site. We read 30 posts from October 2025 to September 2026: 23 describe a meal, 4 only introduce the place, and 3 were about other shops and set aside.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Ordering and paying both happen at the table: eight posts used the tablet or kiosk fixed to each table. One post guessed this is because the room is too narrow for staff to move easily between tables; another said the staff speak enough Korean that ordering out loud also works.
- There can be a wait at lunch, but a short one. Three posts mention queuing; two of them add that tables turn over fast. One post received its pad thai almost immediately despite a lunchtime rush with delivery orders. No post gives a waiting time in minutes.
- Writing a review earns a drink: four posts received one — a Thai milk tea or two cans of soda in one case, two milk teas in another. One found the milk tea's black-tea flavour startlingly strong.
- Four posts call the portions generous — one says the shrimp pad thai left them too full to breathe, another that the crab fried rice was enormous. No post found portions small.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 20 posts read) |
|---|
We do not know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in — not because there isn't access, but because no one wrote about it. One post confirms the shop is at street level; another says the aisles between tables are tight.
We do not know whether the toilet is inside the shop. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in one post's copied list of amenities; no one described using it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 24 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-05-31 | 2 posts in one day |

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on space split two to three: two posts found the room roomy, three said the tables are packed close together. One counted about ten tables.
- Two posts found dishes salty — the spicy seafood noodles badly so, the pork basil rice slightly. The rest did not comment on seasoning.
- This is a relocated shop: one post visited the old site and found the new one larger and more polished, another describes an expansion move. A first-anniversary promotion seen in June 2026 suggests the current site opened around summer 2025. All 30 posts we read are from after the move.
- Twelve posts agree on opening hours of 11:00 to 22:00. Most give a 15:00–17:00 break (one says from 14:30); five say the break is weekdays only, six give no days, so whether weekends have a break is uncertain. Last order is 21:30. Most of this is copied listing data.
- Prices held steady from October 2025 to September 2026 (pad thai 12,900 won). No post called it expensive; two called it good value. The only full bill recorded is 51,600 won for four dishes shared by two. Extra coriander is listed at 1,000 won in one post and 2,000 won in another, and the 9,900-won noodle price in June 2026 was an anniversary promotion. Two posts paid with a discounted DatePop voucher.
- Some promotional writing is mixed in: the same blurb (Thai chef, group bookings up to 20, local-style cooking on request) appears almost word for word in five posts, two of them written from Naver Place data and one disclosed as sponsored. We treated it as the shop's own claims and did not count it. Three posts give the same phone number, 0507-1413-3632; Naver reservations appear only in copied listing text.
