Chamseonju Myeonok Seongsu
참선주면옥 성수점 Myeonok is an old word for a noodle house; Chamseonju is the brand's own name, and no post explains what it means.

A naengmyeon house on the ground floor of the Seongsu 1-cha Daewoo Apartments shopping arcade, 143 Dongil-ro, Seongdong-gu. The core is cold-broth naengmyeon at 9,000 won and ban-naengmyeon (spicy dry noodles with broth poured over) at 9,500 won, alongside pollock, raw-beef and young-radish versions, pork soup, boiled pork, dumplings and yukhoe. You order and pay on a tablet or kiosk at the table, and fetch extra side dishes and hot beef broth from a self-serve bar. Weekday lunch brings queues of local office workers; some evening posts paired the pork and raw beef with soju. A January 2026 post calls it newly opened. We read 30 posts dated 28 January to 29 September 2026. We set aside 8 because they were about the Wangsimni or Jungnang branches or were franchise-registry articles. All of the remaining 22 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect to queue at weekday lunch. Seven posts saw or joined a line. One arrived at 11:50 to find two groups already waiting; another arrived at 11:40 behind three groups and didn't get in until 12:15; a third waited about 15 minutes behind four groups; a fourth walked in around 11:30 and saw a line form right behind them. One mentions a paper waiting list at the door. One post, visiting early on a weekend evening, was seated straight away.
- Fifteen posts describe the seating, and 12 of them mention single seats or a counter along the wall for solo diners. One post counted about ten four-person tables and roughly six counter seats. Another counted five four-person tables, five single seats and a group table for 8 to 10.
- Four posts mention a small partitioned room at the back. One of them sat there and found it pleasantly private.
- Ordering happens at your seat. Ten posts describe ordering and paying straight away on a tablet or kiosk at the table.
3 more
- Ten posts say the portions are large. Those who ordered the 2,000-won large naengmyeon say they were stuffed, and one guessed it was about one and a half times the regular, with two eggs. Several say there was still pollock left on the noodles near the end of a bowl.
- Five posts say it is walkable from the subway. It sits between Seongsu Station exit 2 and Konkuk University Station exit 1, about ten minutes on foot from the latter. Two posts warn it can feel a bit far from either station. One also notes that the sign is hard to see because the restaurant is inside the arcade.
- Four posts say it is not expensive; one points out that many dishes cost under 10,000 won, which is cheap for Seongsu. One post was undecided, saying it is not cheap but perhaps normal for a Seongsu lunch.

Parking
4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Four posts parked or describe parking in the building's basement garage. Two of them say the restaurant covers up to two hours, provided you get the garage ticket stamped inside.
Parking fees are copied differently from post to post. One info box says 120 minutes free, another just says paid, and a third says 6,000 won an hour up to 30,000 won. None of this was experienced first-hand, so we did not count it. No post says clearly whether the two hours of support makes parking free.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Five posts say it is walkable from the subway. It sits between Seongsu Station exit 2 and Konkuk University Station exit 1, about ten minutes on foot from the latter. Two posts warn it can feel a bit far from either station. One also notes that the sign is hard to see because the restaurant is inside the arcade.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 2 (of 21 posts read) |
|---|
It is on the ground floor; two posts say so from their own visit. One drove into the basement garage and found the restaurant right there on coming up to the ground floor. The other says it is just inside the arcade entrance.
No one wrote from experience about a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. One copied info box claims the entrance is wheelchair-accessible, but nobody actually checked, so we did not count it. That means we don't know, not that it is inaccessible.
No post says from experience whether the toilet is inside the restaurant. One copied info box says it is outside, and another says there are separate men's and women's toilets, but neither was seen first-hand, so we did not count them.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Posts split three to three on space. Three call it roomier than expected or say the tables are well spaced. Three call it cramped or not very big, and one of these, seated in a corner, couldn't pull out a chair because a counter seat was right behind it.
- Five posts found the staff friendly, and one disagreed. At a weekday lunch, with dine-in and delivery orders piling up, that writer saw staff flustered: nearly serving food to the wrong table and leaving empty tables uncleared for a long time.
- Prices differ a little between posts. Most posts from January and from July to September 2026 give 9,000 won for cold naengmyeon and 9,500 won for ban-naengmyeon. One post from 9 August 2026 lists 10,000 and 10,500 won, out of step with other posts from the same month, and one February post gives 9,900 won for ban-naengmyeon. One post noticed that some prices on the Naver menu didn't match the ones in the restaurant. We see no clear rise or fall over time.
- Opening hours depend on when the post was written. Three posts from January and February 2026 say it stayed open until 1:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, while eleven posts from May onward give 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. Fourteen posts give a 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. break, and one says it ends at 4:00. Most of this is copied from info boxes, so check before you go.
- No single kind of company dominates. Three posts went with a husband or boyfriend and two went alone; one each went with an older sister, a former colleague, and a team from work. One solo diner appreciated the single seats and the half plate of boiled pork.
- No post says they actually made a reservation. A few copied info boxes say bookings are accepted, and one writer who sat through the lunch queue suggests phoning ahead to check for a table or book. Several posts give the phone number as 0507-1345-4013.
