Hidongi Chikin Seokgwanjeom
히동이치킨 석관점 Hidongi is the name of the brand's cartoon mascot, shown hugging a drumstick on the blue sign and the boxes; the posts give no further meaning for it, and Seokgwan-jeom means the Seokgwan-dong branch.

A takeout-and-delivery-only fried chicken shop at the mouth of Dolgoji Market in Seokgwan-dong, Seongbuk-gu (561 Hancheon-ro). Crispy fried is 18,000 won and sauced is 19,000 won, and picking up in person knocks off 3,000 won for one chicken or 7,000 won for two, so many posts paid 16,000 won for a fried/sauced half-and-half. There is nowhere to eat inside, so people phone in an order, show up when it's ready and eat at home. We read 30 posts dated Aug 5 to Oct 24, 2026. In 28 the writer went and picked up; one was a delivery order and one mixed in another address, so we didn't count those two.

Rows without a count: 6 of 18 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- There is no seating. Twelve posts said there is no dining area, and one described the shop as nothing but a kitchen and an order counter. One post did describe somewhere to sit inside, but that writer also took the chicken home.
- You can sit while it fries. Two posts mentioned a seat out front, and one of them described a small bench by the menu on the front window.
- It stays crisp on the way home. Of the 28 pickup posts, 26 called it crisp. One writer walked about 15 minutes home and another about 20, and both said the coating held up. Another said the leftovers were still crisp the next day. Five posts mentioned juiciness, and five said it wasn't greasy.
- The takeout discount sets the price. Fifteen posts gave what they actually paid after it: 15,000 won for a whole fried chicken, 16,000 won for fried/sauced halves, 17,000 won for garlic-soy/cheese halves. Nineteen said it wasn't expensive. One paid with Onnuri market vouchers. Takeout customers also get a prize draw (first prize is a whole fried chicken), but that comes from the shop's own notice.
3 more
- Twelve posts said the portion is big. One solo eater left a fair amount, and another turned the leftovers into a rice bowl the next day. One post said it was about right for two.
- Ten posts said the owner or staff were friendly. One said the owner walked a first-timer through the menu, one was given a piece to taste while waiting, and one got the new sauce added to the bag.
- It looks like a neighbourhood shop, but four posts said it's a chain. One called it a franchise outlet, and the others mentioned a brand with three or more branches.

Two posts said they drove and parked. One said the street parking in front of the market is free for shoppers, and the other parked on the road at the market entrance. Around ten posts have the line that you can stop on the road at the entrance, but most of them copied it into an info box.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
2 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No post mentions floors or stairs. The address says ground floor and posts say you can see it right from the market entrance, but that's all. That isn't confirmation either way; nobody wrote about it.
No post says whether there's a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller fits. You only need to reach the counter, but we don't know what the entrance is like.
No post describes using a toilet. One post's info box lists it as outside the shop, inside the market, separate men's and women's, but that was copied in, not experienced.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post mentions a queue. The wait is the frying time: two were told 10 minutes, most were told 15, and one said 15–20. Most phoned ahead and walked straight out with their order, and several did a lap of the market while it cooked.
- No post says the writer came by subway or bus; two came by bike and two by car. Two posts said it's a 9-minute walk from Dolgoji Station exit 6, and one of them added 10 minutes from Seokgye Station exit 5.
- Opening hours vary from post to post. Eighteen posts listed them, almost all copied. Most agree on weekends from noon to 6:30 a.m., though one says weekends start at 2 p.m. Weekdays mostly start at 4 p.m., with one post saying 3 p.m. and one saying 10 p.m. on Wednesdays. Four posts from mid-September on say it's closed on Mondays and no August post does, but other posts from the same weeks leave the Monday closure out, so we can't say it changed.
- Twelve posts gave 0507-1354-1275 as the phone number; one gave 010-2198-9411 and one 0503-7154-2498. You don't book a table here; people call to place pickup orders.
- Kkulmat-dongi chicken was added in August 2026. It isn't on the menu copied in an Aug 11 post, it shows up as a new item from Aug 19, and September posts list it at 20,000 won.
- Thirty posts landed within 11 weeks. Nearly every title uses the same 'Seokgwan-dong chicken spot' phrase, and the takeout discount, prize draw, 'fried to order, never pre-fried' line and cooking times come up in the same order. Only two posts disclose a sponsored visit (via Supermembers), but it looks like a promotional batch. We didn't use the shop's own lines, such as fresh oil daily or fried to order, as evidence.
